The article said a relief pitcher has used Enter Sandman for his entrance since 1999...hmmm.
I realize you may or may not be a baseball fan, but PLEASE tell me you knew that Enter Sandman was Mariano Rivera's entrance song or at least that you briefly forgot. I'm not a Yankees fan, but the man is iconic and will be the last person to ever wear the number 42 in all of baseball.
JC will be missed as a change of pace guy which Mangus fills in nicely as but I have this gut feeling Joel Caleb is eventually going to be a great back in my non expert humble opinion. The vision he showed on that TD run (yes against inferior competition) was impressive and he just made it look so easy and he seems to have power and a nasty burst that he showed on a few of the other runs. Will be fun watching these guys develop. Bummer about Charley Meyer everyone was so high on him will take him time to figure things out when he is healthy.
I think their interior run defense is going to suffer a lot with them missing both of their starting inside linebackers. Both are big leaders on the team with one leading the pirates in tackles for the past couple seasons. I think we'll see true power football this game where we are just going to run it up the middle and dare them to stop us with their two backups.
Good point..nothing like The Key Plays breakdown of the game.
Roddy's injury is friggin killing me. I was all-in on him this year thinking it was going to be a one week thing. Now I'm like shiiiiiit.
Glad you guys like it. I'll do this every week.

Does anyone know why they have such a wimpy cannon? The first time I saw them roll it out a few years ago I almost tore a muscle laughing so hard.
Agree, always felt like there is a lot more that could have come from the endings of the XWA storyline, but I feel like since realistic sims seemed to take a drop-off at that point, LucasArts decided to shift to more of an arcade style flier, like Rouge Squadron instead. Still a good series, but yeah, I wish XWA could have had more of a conclusion/sequel
The operative word in your statement Horse is "kid". You have well-educated older men and women guiding teenage and early 20 years olds with no experience in the world of big-time college athletics. The "kids" are ripe for the picking when the leadership of the University's athletic dept. is corrupt and willing to teach them that "money for nothing" is available to help them live a more comfortable college lifestyle. The adult leadership and the university establishment needs to be punished in a public, excruciating manner. They have made a mockery of collegiate education by placing athletic success ahead the academic achievement, personal integrity and character development of their students. Sam Rogers says: "Smash-em!"
No worries ^_^
Why couldn't it have dropped 2 weeks ago? I would have liked that a lot more.
I'm still waiting for an expansion to X-Wing: Alliance that continues after the DS2 attack finishing out the plot with Antan after the Kessel mission. I know it won't come, since its been 12 years since the game was released, but I'd still love to see it.
This was great.
And in my defense, I had the 12th pick and it sucked.
Since you're relatively familiar with both places, how does cost of living compare. I know that SW VA has a lower cost of living than a lot of places, but wasn't sure what the difference would be between Blacksburg and Auburn. Cost of living was mentioned briefly on TKP along with the Pep Hamilton to VT rumors early this year and I can see things like Cost of Living and Tax rates coming into consideration for a coach moving from CA to VA, but would they be as a factor moving from AL to VA?
The NCAA needs to make a decision...if receiving money is OK, then they need to figure out how to make that ok. If receiving money is not ok then they need to stop worrying about their pockets and drop the hammer and show the world they mean business, otherwise it keeps happening.
Ridicule me if you want, but i enjoy NASCAR and this past week they have levied some of the most serious penalties in recent history pulling 1 and maybe another driver out of the playoffs...they still have a long way to go in establishing credibility but at least they made it clear they won't tolerate cheating.
Give JC another year and 8-10 more pounds and he is going to be nasty. 4.4, shifty, and he runs hard. He's gonna be fine on the depth chart, there's a reason why he and Trey were co-1's on the depth chart. It's not like JC was the feature back last year and he's fallen off the face of the planet. As much as we want to run the ball, we need a stable of studs.

That freakin' rocks! I live on the coast in NC and we always talk about how ECU is where good students go to die. That place has more 7 year students than MCV, and they ain't spittin' out MD's.

I believe Yankees do indeed put cigarette ash in their bbq sauce, along with the butts, shredded used tires and mob snitches.
I'm willing to consider your TX "bbq" if it was turkey. We still need to disabuse them of the idea that you make bbq from cows.
honestly i hate saying this but if he doesnt stay healthy i can see j.c. ending up like david wilson where the talent around him cuts on his playing time. Mangus i think might play his way into staying at tailback and i have a feeling caleb is going to be a stud, with trey obviously being our lead back. hopefully we can get him back healthy by ACC play just to give us another weapon, but at this point it might be awhile until he is effective.
I'd probably sit Miller this week, just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, plenty of sports venues have used "Enter Sandman" over the years for big entrances. We just do it best!
