A few of their defensive starters have been suspended, conveniently, for two games. I think we'll get a better look at the real TAMU defense next week against Bama.
But I do agree, whole heartedly, the aggies D has looked generous to less than stellar teams.
3 more votes than last week!
For what it's worth, we're technically ranked 31st this week.

Six spots down for Florida, that's pretty far, at least for an $EC team.
I know, but they're still a team that got upset last night.
It takes a lot for a SEC team to fall far in the rankings.
Yeah I was more talking about HOW we played them and not the final score. Sorry for the confusion.
vtphreak, you're a hokie legend.
Well, that was rude.
Don't forget Florida.
Mormons are a very respectful and nice group
Thank you. Its like I never suffered through the JMU game or all last years basketball season. My first game I left.... im not going to stand there and get torched when we're playing western carolina, a team whos lost 12 straight games in the FCS.
MOST kids these days. I'm always disappointed when fellow students leave the game early. But, several of my friends and I stayed for the entire game. I lost my voice yet again and we still yelled for the defense in the 4th quarter as we should.
I was also rather proud. I diffused a possible paper airplane throwing incident with someone in my seating group. No paper airplanes were thrown in my group from what I noticed.
I love how there were lots of recruits there to see that horror show. I really hope some of these high school kids wake up and see the reality that is VT vs uva football.
Not my video, but this may be the best version i've seen on youtube thus far:
You can always stream the game from sketchy websites!!! But forreal screw espn writers for college football tbeyre terrible
I sure hope so. I certainly dont want these teams loading the box to stop the run....simply because they dont respect our passing game
ranks and yardage through yesterday:
- Wisconsin 162.5 - blew out UMASS and TennTech
- Arizona St. 167.0 - rolled Sacramento St, average is just 1 game
- Michigan St. 179.5 - lazy wins over Western Mich and South Fla
- Virginia Tech 184.0 - awesomeness against Bama (and WCU)
- Florida 208.5 - unimpressive over Toledo, lost to Miami
but the real surpise is:
6. Duke 210.5 - blew out NC Central and beat Memphis
honorable mention for surprise:
7. Marshall 211.5 - rolled Miami-OH and Gardner-Webb
It's not just about winning or losing or who your team is playing. It's about watching the Hokies play.
You get to see them in Lane 6 times a year. It's laughable that people complain about being hot or having better things to do. You can drink or sit in air conditioning the other 359 days a year.
That's just so sad that you feel differently.
Dont you say a thing about how hot yall were, the Corps has essentially decided uniform technology peaked in 1904...
Also that dance block/big gay tuba pyramid...
I think we will learn more about our passing game against ECU. I watched some of the FAU-ECU game this week, and ECU's secondary looked fairly porous. Hopefully we can translate that into separation for our WRs and some rhythm with LT. If we can do that, the run game opens up even more, which is already a strength.
I will say that i was pleased with the production from the offense....for the most part. What concerns me the most though is our inability to strech the field with the deep ball.
I also was somewhat disappointed with the lack of separation between our receivers and their d backs. I think they actually covered us much better than Bama did. Given the difference in the talent level.....i think that is unacceptable, and should be an area of concern going forward.
The Cash Machine (ATM) has given up more points than they should have against Rice and Sam Houston State. I'm wagering that Alabama will put up points in bunches. But I also think The Cash Machine will also score a lot.

I can't believe Mack Brown has lasted this long. The Red River rivalry with OU has been anything but, and Texas hasn't won 10 games in a season since 2009. They have owned Texas recruiting the whole time, yet calling them mediocre would be kind.
