What a joke that article is. Am I allowed to predict the Steelers season now?
Record: 0-16, with 80-0 losses to the Ravens. Man I should get a job at MSN sports, seems easy.
Couple of things:
Mike Farrell renranked those guys, he put Derrick Green and someone else who hasn't played a college snap ahead of Tyrod and EJ Manuel.
And since when does fan perception (and a very wrong and false perception) have an effect on talent?
Morons.
Who was RB #32 that almost took it to the house?
One thing to consider is how bad our recruiting was for the few years before Shane got here. I think a decent number of the players leaving were recruited during that time period and thus are probably not skilled enough to cut it now.
I'm not sure if it'd be possible, I just love to hear that gun and I know they won't let 'em use live rounds.
Let me rephrase, I know why (O'Cainspring was a disaster) but I don't know how anyone with any semblance of a football background could not put the ball in Tyrod's hands.
That countdown to mediocrity struck zeros a long, long time ago. #decadeofdominance just solidifies it
I had to go back and downvote today, since I missed it originally.
I know we lost the Boise State game, but watching Tyrod that day was so much fun. Nobody could stop him, still makes me wonder why we would run the ball three straight times when one first down would end the game. Should've put the ball in Superman's hands.
For anybody who hasn't read it, don't waste your time doing so. The replies in this thread are significantly more entertaining that the actual article.
(I'm not familiar with that site, but it looks like anybody can contribute and getting page views allows the "author" to move up the ranks or get credit or something. I say we keep those clicks to a minimum.)
Tyrod was one of the best quarterbacks ever at Virginia Tech period. His transformation from an immature run first quarterback to true team leader lead him to a phenomenal senior season in which he set a school record in touchdown passes. Will always be one of my favorites.
Silly comment to make
That had to be the funniest thing I have ever looked at in my life.
He spelled Sean Glennon wrong
All he'll have to do is take a sobriety test before the game and he'll be good to go.
he's clutch but a 42 yd all time long is pretty low for a scholarship senior.
did you run for tech?
Wait a second, he's happy with the direction the UVA program is going? That right there shows why they're such a joke.
I wonder how all of this will fly based on the fact that, according to Brown, OSU had him as their #1 receiver target. Seems a bit disingenuous now.
Still, it was quite entertaining. Even Beamer was wondering why there wasn't more dustups since how hard they go at each other in practice.
Anqd truer words were never spoken
It looks like his offer to Ohio State might not be committable: http://theozone.net/recruiting/Football2012_14/Rundowns/Rundown_13_08_08....
NJ WR Noah Brown has tweeted that he has received offers from UNC, VT, Rutgers, ND, Mich. St., and Vandy but no OSU. It looks like Brown maybe another victim of the scholarship reductions imposed on OSU from Tat-gate. Jonathan Hilliman was another NJ prospect that OSU was high on but due to scholarship restrictions, the Buckeyes were not able to offer Hilliman a committable offer and it looks like Noah Brown is in the same boat.
Bad news for the Buckeyes, good news for the Hokies.

I think you'll find that Tech has one of the best young secondaries in the country this year. Fuller, Facysun, Riley, all three of these can play and they are all very young. If you have two freshmen studs like Fuller and Facysun come in and are ready to contribute, you are doing something right with recruiting.
Everything else is just noise.
