I figure it has to be personal. The defensive coaches haven't changed (although the overall culture and attitude of the team may have) and he was certainly going to get playing time. Maybe this is the kick in the butt that Kris Harley needs to break out. Whatever the reason, hopefully Corey finds a place that's right for him. He definitely had his beastly moments for us.

someone on the other board said marshall was basically asked to leave. Heard he was a ME player and was a cancer in the locker room, but I don't know the truth to that or not. However this hurts us in the worst way right now. If we have any injuries we might as well start signing some water boys

Injuries happen and transfers happen. Next man up may be a star we don't know until the games are played. Football isn't played on paper its played on grass and some kids don't impress in practice but when they get their shot they make the best out of it. Good luck to Corey and I thank him for his contributions

Like some rumblings on the other side, a new argument is being made. Maybe the attrition isn't a bad thing. New coaches = new relationships. We've been upset with complacency for years and when you kick birds, feathers ruffle. So, maybe this attrition isn't something to be worried over as much as excited.

I'm by no means in the loop, but I've seen things like "3 strikes you're out" etc. We wish him the best, but, maybe just because you play good doesn't translate into being a real Hokie.

That article is very misinformed. I know myself and many other would defend Tyrod tooth and nail when he wouldnt have his best game. I never saw anyone with more heart than him play on offense. I always had the feeling no matter how much our offense was incompetent he would not let us lose. I can remember having tears in my eyes before the Stanford game started knowing this was the last hurrah for him. Personally, there is no player I am more proud that we had than Tyrod. How this article could come to this conclusion from what I recall about his time here is beyond me.

Lets let them stink it up first. I think there is more competition in this program than in recent memory. Maybe thats why guys are transferring. I think whoever is left and gets on the field will be as good as they can be right now. I had not felt that way about previous teams with our talent and coaching. We needed change. We got it. Change is never easy. For the first timehere in awhile this team is heading toward being the Hokies we envision. These coaches will get them there as quick as possible and Beamer will get one more shot at what he so much deserves.

Tyrod was amazing and awesome and a Hokie forever...but no one has yet to touch Michael Vick. He is just the nastiness what was he 22-1 as a starter at Tech? He lost the FSU NC game but I think was hurt for the Miami loss in 2000. He took Virginia Tech to a National Championship and we were arguably the best team in the nation that year. I reckon we could have beat them had a few things went our way. (I also think we would have won the NC without a doubt had Vick returned in 2001) So anyways yes Tyrod was a great Hokie but Vick is in a league of his own

DW22 has his wheels on tonight.

That R. Wayne TD was extremely painful, but also kinda really awesome.

The Hokies are going to be bad this year, so if the kid wants to go away to obscurity it opens up a slot for the next few years.

Well, looks like one more scholarship available for the next couple years. Not stoked to see Marshall leave, but best of luck to him.

If true, Teller isn't going back. Nigel Williams worked with Woody Baron with the 2's as the scrimmage progressed and Harley hurt his shoulder.

I hope it isn't true. I am very high on Marshall as an end.
