Not just bama fans but pretty much all sec fans are the worst. I went to Lsu vs vt in Baton Rouge and they were handing out dog biscuits because of Michael Vick. How many years after that was he at vt? 0 just go to bill dozers YouTube video and read the comments, they have no respect for anything or any other conference. They seem to forget that in 07 they were losing to north Texas. I was stationed right below there for 5 years and its insane how blind these people are to reality. There's a storm coming and they don't even realize it.

Ya know...last time UVa displayed those clocks as motivation, this happen -> 38-0. Lesson have not been learned, apparently. Shocker, I know.

Not from our game, but hilarious nonetheless...

ok, finally got to watch it. yeah, that was pretty bad, the coaches were making fun of him, and was that burfict talking shit to him? "boy from virginia tech shows up unprepared and unaware." you could tell from the look on bruce's face he was humbled, he even said the worst part was he talking himself up. as far as trying to rile up james harrison, forget that shit, that dude is horrifying. let's just hope he rebounds from a bad first impression and makes a 53 man roster somewhere, if not cincinnati.

They wear bowties and pants with little elephants on them to games. I wear bibs and camo. They suck.

Good story, glad to see people are remaining mostly classy. For me, I give as good as I get. Any opposing fan that wants to come in and start crap is going to have a very unpleasant game, just the way it is. On the other hand, cool fans from the other side are most welcome, even in the Terror Dome. One of the best opposing fan experiences I had was the '07 FSU game. Two guys from Tallahassee were behind us and were really awesome. We kept up a decent conversation throughout the game, and even they started heckling Bowden when his players were going down with phantom injuries. With a hearty handshake and a "glad we met" at the end of the game, we parted ways.

The Bama fans we met at the game in 09 were actually really nice even though they whooped our asses in cornhole.

Let's be honest...every fan bases have a small percentage of fans who are assholes, that include some in Hokies Nation. I have gotten into an argument on McFarling's blog with a Hokie fan who talks like a thug.

Last fall, I attended the Labor Day match up against Georgia Tech, a team I detest worse than UVA, but their fans were awfully nice folks. While walking to Lane Stadium, one of the Bees' fans was next to me, and I looked at him and said, "It's gonna be hell of a game." He clasped my hand and shook it (I think he was a wee bit drunk), and said that he really liked Virginia Tech because we had one of the classiest fans. I was awfully proud of it.

I can't say I would've done the same for a Miami fan, but after reading this I'm going to try to show more Hokies respect. Thanks for sharing.

My thought mirrors to French with one caveat, I think McLaughlin has the left tackle spot on lock down, because he has shown to be surprisingly strong at that position. Where he is slightly weak is run blocking, but that's where the scheme needs more pulling guard. The right side of the line sounds like it becoming clear, but to repeat Grimey's words, "Don't read too much into it."

I suspect the week leading up to the kickoff in Atlanta, Grimes will have his best 5 guys ready. Who they will be is unknown, maybe to hide his hands and prevent Nick Saban from scheming against him.

I'm with you on that one, bro. I would love for Hokies Nation to invade the blue turf and leave it bleeding maroon and orange afterward with sad Broncos laying on the 50 yard line sobbing in fetal position.

If you really want to have a good time go with a Beesting:

2 shots American Honey
2 shots Wild Turkey
Served over ice

Couple of those and you'll be good to go!

I was just talking to a bartender the other night, he told me that he was soaking wet during the Miami-VT game in 2009 while wearing his "U" t-shirt...he really had a lot of nice things to say about our fans, how they gave him a poncho to wear, etc...it's great to hear stories like that from other fanbases re: Hokie Nation and not ones like those above.

I had a great time tailgating with Bama fans for the '09 game. Played drinking games and talked football with them all day.
