I'm working to find out if we can bring our own beverages. I'll post what I find out.
My tickets to that are already purchased.
Heading down Friday morning or right after class with 2 friends and meeting 3 or 4 more there. Definitely considering the Hokie tailgate so not to worry with picking up/packing stuff. Honestly, how many and who all are definitely doing that? Would be cool to actually put faces with profiles since I'm on here every day and because TKP is just...well, awesome.
I know, right? At least our fans don't require instructions.
You son of a....
Those were easily 3 of my top 5 most emotionally traumatizing experiences in my 22 years of existence. You sick bastard.
I'm slightly obsessed with Evan Williams Honey. It's not the best quality but it's cheap and man is it easy to drink. Mix with a small pour of Coke and you have yourself a wonderful beverage.
If mixed correctly with a good light beer and food you will be set up for a great game day.

God I love this screenname.
It's all good. We know that at the end of the day, Enter Sandman > Jump Around.
I used to not root against UVA too much. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that my Dad is a UVA fan. Thank goodness he was too concerned with raising me to hate the Cowboys and Yankees to teach me anything about college sports. And yes, I hate UVA fans when it comes to discussing football, but to be honest I really didnt hold any ill will toward any of their programs at all. (SORRY DONT KILL ME)
My hole mindset changed during the UVA game last year.
The tailgate I usually go to on game day is in the Prices Fork lot right by the parking garage. Thats a public lot and anyone can come in on game day and pay to park there. There are usually quite a few tailgates in that lot being run by whoever we may be playing that day. So, of course, as I walk up to my tailgate I walk by a nicely set up UVA tailgate. They all looked to be having a good time and I didnt think anything of it.
When it came time to start the walk to Lane I had to walk back by this UVA tailgate. Well, at this point they were all lining the sidewalk taunting every single Hokie that walked by. Let me state how I feel on this, if you are year in and year out getting whipped by your rival and then decide to come to their home and tailgate, the LAST thing you should be doing is taunting people.. Let me also state that they werent simply saying GO HOOS or VT SUCKS, they were cussing and in your face with everything.
Well I had been enjoying my own tailgate and was feeling pretty good, so I decided that when I walked through I just wouldnt put my head down. I walked by the first UVA guy and he got in my face and said something so I proceeded to use a certain finger to let him know what I thought of his team. He didnt like that, and fair enough neither would I. But the tipping point came right after, he grabbed the back of my jacket and would not let go. After a few more tense words he finally let me go and I continued to walk through. Once I got out of that tailgate an older UVA gentleman who was obviously with the group, but not partaking in this taunting exercise, proceeded to tell me to watch my language. I believe my response didnt please him.
Look, Ill admit that I probably didnt act in the best way possible, and maybe I should have just walked around their tailgate in the first place instead of using the sidewalk. But, I just thought that whole situation was a bunch of BS.
I will never even slightly pull for them again after all of that. UVA talks so much about having class but I didnt see it that day.
I was actually, literally, at a party in a barn two weekends ago.
If I ever meet HorseOnATreadmill it will destroy my world if he is not, in fact, a horse on a treadmill...
I could see the headlines after we beat them in lane.
"Lane was shaking from the battle of the thunder chickens but once the dust settled, the only thunder was the crowd going wild"
23 lbs in a month is ridiculous. He must have eaten 6000 calories a day at the minimum. That sounds like a luxury but you really have to put a lot of effort into eating to eat 6000 calories of meaningful food.
So, in other words, maximize our strength of schedule, and root for the underdog when all else is equal.
My vote would be for USCe, it would likely end my marriage since my wife went there and is die hard but they are on a tear and enjoying the successes that VT had around the 99-00 era. Who wouldn't want to see Beamer and the Head Ball Coach go up against each other. 2016 - The Battle for Bird Supremacy.
For some reason, that compelled me to make this:

No particular order to this but I wouldn't mind:
PSU
UGA
USC-e
Tennessee- I just want to beat the crap out of them again
Texas
aTm
UF- wont happen since they don't travel out of florida
John J. Bowman Virginia Straight Single-Barrel Bourbon. Keep it in-state
"On his size: 'Actually a month ago I was about 253, and I'm 276 now. So 23 pounds. Tech food is the best, I can't stop eating it! Lots of protein, lots of weight room, and I'm the same speed. I'm just 23 pounds heavier.'"
This should be sent to every recruit that's a bit undersized that's still on the board!
Hasn't the ACC already announced the rotation for ND and we won't have them in Lane until 2019 or 2020? I remember thinking we were literally the last or next to last team to get a home game against them.
I don't know about everyone else, but a party in a barn sounds awesome.
If we play at PSU, party at my house.
Seeing the lines painted on the field gets me pumped.
Now I'm thinking of Weaver walking around his office, saying "How shall I complete the wall?"
Side note: Empty Spaces as a build up to Sandman would be badass.

While part of me wants to upvote this, it kind of reminds me of the "When Worlds Collide" episode of Seinfeld....My lovely spouse is an Iowa grad, and this could make for some rather uncomfortable home moments.
