It's weird setting the subject and the comment. (Which were always the same lol) I forgot we stopped doing that.

Tyrod is looking sharp as hell! I live in the Baltimore area and the announcers have a crush on him. Can't blame them though.

As far as Bama fans go, most I meet are have short term memories and aren't that interested in the mechanics of why their team is winning.

I.e. - the conservation I had with a fan the other day. "I'm not all obsessed like you, I don't needed to look up who were recruiting. We just win. That's all I need to know."

Needless to say the conversation didn't go much further...

But I did take being called obsessed as a compliment. ...is that weird?

I know there's literally no chance in hell, but I would love nothing more than to see VMI do the impossible and beat them.

I have one experience with an alabama fan. We tailgated with one in '09. Met this 40 year old guy who claimed he invented 'the sponge' (Seinfeld fans should get this) and then he fed us wild turkey. What's not to like?

My wife is a USCe/College of Charleston grad
She is convinced that USCe is the end all, can't remember a time when they lost a game (that the other team didn't cheat), would have Lattimore's baby today and name it Jadaveon Spurrier the third......

same here...Harbaugh just complemented his time management at the half, and Cody Grimm actually ran him out of bounds on his first snap.

I'm not a fan of either team, but is the audio on Fox messed up on anyone else's set?

Edit: Comcast Sports is fine, however.

So I know donkeys are supposed to be stubborn as hell and have heard that zebras are angry and aggressive (When I lived in Cali there was a report of a farmer shooting a zebra from the Hearst Castle herd because it was attacking his cattle) so zonkey's must be stubborn A-holes.

Chill with the revenge on KU. That's my other school since I was born there, and they suck right now so I promise you that revenge will not be sweet. That was the only year I was able to actually brag about KU football.

I started watching it last night when I saw he was on it. I think every Hokie (including Bud & Bruce, himself) would agree that is exactly what he deserved after talking smack, ESPECIALLY as an undrafted rookie with everything to prove and lose.

Sick of horse puns? Hold your horses. Don't be a neigh-sayer. Maybe take some cough stirrup if your voice is a little hoarse. That will rein it in. You'll have to pony up for it though, or if you need cash, run it pasture girlfriend.

This is why I'm such a big fan of AMB, she keeps me stable and is my mane attraction. Maybe one day I'll play poker against her in Filly, since it's kinda close to me here in PA, but I'll probably have to foald. Unless we're playing the USCw Trojans that day. I'd be glad to have her as a neigh-bor. Any pal of hers is a palomino. I won't put up with it if she mustang out with the wrong people.

I'd like to thank all you chaps for participating, but I've carriaged this set of puns long enough. I'll have to bite the billet and halter. Good thing I've just finished preparing these horse d'oeuvres.

BAREBACK!

Most pleasant fan base outside of VT: TamU fans. Plenty friendly and fun to be around.

Least pleasant: LSU. I've been in Louisiana for almost 6 years now, and every time I meet some decent fans...it gets negated with really really bad fans. About three years ago I went to a bar with some friends, one of whom was an Alabama fan.. and I believe it was the last time ala beat florida when the gators still had Tebow as a qb... anyway, once the game was over a couple of the LSU fans pushed my Bama fan friend out off the front door.. needless to say a fight was about to go down, until every other LSU fan at the bar stepped in and told us it wouldn't be pretty.

My other unpleasant memory actually happened at the sugar bowl against Michigan. This towering block head of a guy was talking shit about both Michigan and Virginia tech as we were all leaving the game. And he was pretty much welcoming anybody for a fight... I'll never forget this guy. He was shirtless (it was a cold day in New Orleans..regardless of the dome,), painted purple and gold, with a huge Mohawk ...and kept saying how the LSU-Bama NCG was going to be a REAL game between REAL teams...

The satisfaction I felt a few weeks later when LSU got thumped 21-0.

right on- not sure I would have either, but it was remarkable the impact this had on his opinion of our school, and how genuinely happy he was with his experience 4 years later.

My favorite Steve Spurrier quote (er, paraphrase):

When he heard that there was a fire in the football dorms at Auburn and that 20 books were destroyed, "...the real tragedy is that half of them hadn't been colored in yet."

technically not quite vcu's home because they play in the siegal center so that should give hokies more tickets than a true away game...that and tech has a good amount of fans in richmond should make it not as bad

Worst fans I have dealt with were Miami fans. I have not experienced Bama fans directly besides my girlfriend, who knows less about Alabama football than I know about Jane Austen novels. Miami and UVA fans were horrible. I heard nothing but good things about LSU fans.

The worst Hokie behavior? Boise State. Chanting overrated when the Hokies got the ball with a chance to kill the clock, then tons acted like scumbags towards a large group of Boise fans who were mostly geriatrics. I had to step in on a couple who were really out of hand. Abysmal experience.

Only experiences I've had with Bama fans have been ok. They played PSU up here a few years back and were pretty cool. The only fans I genuinely can't respect are WVU and LSU. They deserve each other. Went to the PSU Nebraska game two years ago and the fans lived up to their reputations. Wish we could model our fan base after theirs. Including the national championships.

Can't make the trip, but here's my plan for the day.

Start the day like this:

Watch the game like this:

Finish the evening like this (regardless of outcome):
