I have a good friend who is a Bama fan (oddly enough, he's currently in med school at LSU), but this is how I imagine most of their fans:

For anybody driving down from northern VA, how are you going? My GPS keeps trying to take me 29/81/85, but I'm thinking it might be faster and easier to go 95/20. Plus, by going down 95 I'd get to stop at South of the Border.

Me and 4 of my friends are headed down Friday, tailgating in the Yellow Lot, then #BEATBAMA the rest of the night
Re: Va Tech WR Joel Caleb Suspended for Alabama Game
"Hokie fan thinks their defense will shut down Tide running game and give them a chance to upset. Hokie fan thinks A. J. is a game manager only. Hokie fan thinks Tide OL and DL won't be good due to loosing starters from last year. Hokie fan never has really thought too.

Spelling would be a great additive here, but the site is funny to read anyway. Lumping all VT fans in as morons while forgetting to spell simple words correctly.
UNFORTUNATELY! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG! I have to work that night fellas and where I work there is no getting off on a Saturday Labor day weekend. BUT! There are also no TV's or radio-(that plays sports) where I work. I'm sure I will have to be at work that night around 4 pm or 5 pm. I'm going to turn off my phone so no one can spoil anything for me. Then for the next 6,7 or 8 hours I will bury myself in my work and my iPod with about 5 or 6 Pink Floyd albums. So I wont know the outcome of #BEATBAMA untill around 2:30 am September 1st. Thank Goodness that DVR's exist.
had the opportunity to go to the Hokie Kickoff Party in Richmond tonight and Bill Roth said it is a Big-time opponent with history/tradition. This makes me think it will be either Penn State, Georgia, or Tennessee.
Coors light, jaeger, and whatever anyone brings by. Normally horribly hungover from the previous night anyway.
WVU, Miami, and our own fans. My wife has been shoved and punched by more of our own then I would like to remember.
Am I the only one that is upset that the kid cant avoid being suspended for the first game of his career. Not one person mentioned being upset about that in this entire post. How hard is it? Rhetorical question. You should follow team rules regardless of your "big man on campus status", especially if you are a freshman.
Can second just how low class Rutgers fans can get. Some are good but a larger than normal percentage are classless, maybe it has to do with them being too close to NYC? Our more likely they just havent been relevent enough to ever be exposed to what a fan base should be like.
Would say the interactions ive had with GT fans have left very favorable impressions, especially after meeting their band twice, their student body is in many ways similar to ours and thus I think we have one of the best friendly rivalries in the ACC.
Also props for being a fellow NJ HOKIE!
Yuengling and Kraken
All fan bases are great but not as great as #HokieNation #HokieRespect
Best I've felt with was Nebraska's fans. Worst either wvu or the bama fans I'm encountering on social media
My cousins are KU grads (living in Lawrence and KC now). They still give me shit, even though you can count all their wins with your hands since 2009. The best revenge would actually be a win against them in the NCAAB tournament, but that's not going to happen.
Thanks for the heads up on needing change and the specifics about the location of the stop, the type of information I didn't really think to look for.
how bout Michigan state? that would be an interesting game or even how about a matchup versus Oklahoma state somebody who isn't a top power but would still draw attention and leave us with an excellent shot at winning
At the 09 Bama game, My fraternity Brother (who is black) and I were walking in to the stadium and had two little chumps wearing bowties yell out some really racist remarks. it took me and two event staff to hold back my brotha from kicking the crap outta these kids. Also while we were in the game we were right on the line in the endzone where the VT fans and Bama fans met and we had this 40 yr old bama fan screaming and flicking us off the whole game.
So was he "sponge worthy"??
I like how Barber was complementing both Tyrod and Grim... Saying they both played for VT, my school's rival!
I love Tyrod. I miss him so much
I lived in Alabama (Montgomery) for five years and am a committed Auburn fan. My grandparents lived in Tuscaloosa for the better part of 40 years. Back in 2009, my sorority sisters and I drove to Atlanta for the game. I drove 3 hours to T-town the morning of the game just to have lunch and visit with my grandparents who lived in a retirement community on campus (but did not call themselves Bama fans). The amount of shit that those old folks at their home talked to me was absurd (clearly, I was wearing a Tech shirt as I drove straight back to the game). They might be old and crotchety, but they're still terrible people.
My cousins call themselves Bama fans because my grandparents lived there but have never lived outside the state of Ohio (they're also Ohio State fans).
There is always a chance. I mean, it's UVA we're talking about here.
I am speechless. Funniest thing I've read all day. Bravo!

After I had knee surgery, I had absolutely terrible tendinitis in both knees. Yeah during rehab you're doing a lot of physical activity and such, but it doesn't really compare to the stuff that you are doing at game speed in a practice situation. It was so bad that I struggled to even walk for about two weeks. It goes away though after a couple of weeks.
