That was pretty good. But Syracuse is now just the Orange, they dropped the "men" a few years back. And how about Cal? Bear sounds like it could taste good.

This is why I like Loefty...he said regarding TE14 and JCC4 they have "specific skill sets and well just utilize what they do well." Sounds like he is going to use them each for their strengths (vs. the old regime who said his is the play, not matter who is in the line-up).

But yes...I agree TE14 is a better zone back than JCC4.

A couple breaks? Bullshit. We needed ONE FUCKING PASS INTERFERENCE CALL to not have happened. I still saltier about that than Danny Coale's catch.

Or better yet, be cheered on by UVA frat stars in Scott Stadium vs. 60,000 roaring fans in Lane Stadium. Isn't that one of the best parts about playing D1 football?

By empowering, endorsing, and investing in those with the ability and desire to lead. Some have the ability to lead, yet lack the opportunity. Others the desire, yet not the power or understanding.

An "A" is always an "A". A "B" can become an "A". with the right tools and training. A "C" will never ever be an "A".

Yea, as awesome as it would be to have another burner of a receiver to compliment Demitri (4.28 supposedly), it didn't look like Stanford had the same top end speed

If Stanford runs a 4.2, there is no way Greene chases him down in the Spring Game. He should have taken it to the house!

Great write-up -- only thing i'd say that vision is / should be the only factor determining if JCC is a good fit in a zone-scheme -- size shouldn't have much to do with it. Look at Oregon -- all their running plays are from a zone scheme and someone like DAT or LMJ have both thrived in it (Yes they run a spread O vs ours, but you still have to make cuts and read the blocks regardless).

I say give JCC a chance -- the FSU example may not be the best to show if he's suited or not, so i'm looking fwd to see what he does next year.

Too bad Bama was fresh off a 6-7 2006 season, and ended 2007 at 7-6, so it wasn't like they were really Bama again yet.

But, yes, we definitely have a chance. Our 2004 game against USC is probably a pretty good comparison, coming off a pretty bad 2003 season and facing the #1 team in the nation on neutral turf, a game we could've won with a couple breaks.

I think we should keep Teller on D. The defensive line is just as important as the OL to me. If we have a deep stud packed DL, we end up forcing turnovers and 3 & outs which puts the offense in better positions.

I think he's referring to instilling leadership within the players, like how Logan is becoming "meaner." Last year's team, by all accounts, was laid-back and lazy, with no one pushing for progress and improvement. It starts at the top, of course, with the coaches pushing everyone, but the players have to develop leadership, as well.

Damnit Caleb...
