I may be in the minority right now but I would like for 2 or 3 to excel and the others to need an extra year. If we have 5 senior OL one year, the next we will be in a big hole i feel like. I would like some to be sr and some to be jr so we always have some experience on the OL.

I actually love it when people call Tech fans racist. For the record, I'm not white and Tech fans are the opposite of racist to me.

I believe it's already been discussed that they have used the recruiting pitch "Do you want to come play for a black coach that understands you or go play for an old white guy in racist Southwest VA?"

Cannibals!!...Shouldn't we be eating elephant steaks since we are playing Alabama?

Mmmmm....turkey legs!

Yeah, but he's "football fast". I always thought speed was the same no matter where on the planet you were (TIC).

People view London as being much younger (52 isn't really that young but the perception is there). And he's a black coach. Black parents and players probably feel a better connection to him because of that. But it won't matter, he'll be fired in 6 months.

I think it's because if they say anything about not wanting to go to UVA, he calls two timeouts in a row to ice them and then they commit out of fear.

Hears what I imagine his speech to sound like "If you commit to UVA, no matter what I promise...you could be starting for Richmond in as little as 2-years".

I seriously don't get this guy. All we hear about is his personality and he's so "likeable". Seriously??!! Listen to this interview, he sounds like an idiot. If this is the story/personality he is selling to recruits and their parents...then I don't know what to think.

Frank should sit in a recruits living room with their parents, pull out his iPad (just imagine for a minute he uses one), play this interview and not say a word. Then he should switch to a stat screen with his record (winningest active coach), bowl streak, and record against #LOLUVA. Then stand up and say "do I really need to say anything else?" and walk out. He should recieve a committment call before he starts his car.

I think I was mistaken, looks like it's a 4.4. Like everybody else fast.

My mind is still blown as to why any high school player (let alone a 5 *) would want to play for him over beamer

Agreed -I peed a little doing my nerd-laugh when I saw that in the theater... and seeing this made me laugh just as hard, one for the usual .gif creation from the AV Club on the site and from remembering that scene, and remembering my experience.

"Our mission here is to be simple: we want to become a unit thats very smart, that plays with relentless effort, that creates explosives in the pass game, run game, with the ideology that were going to run the football.

I love it. All coaches are on the same page with this. I want to see a team that WANTS to win and I think we may see it.

I thought I might have left out a dome. I blame myself for not paying attention to vt until #goacc

App State was 6-32 vs FBS teams before they beat Michigan
Stanford was 1-11 the year before they beat #1 USC in LA in '07
And Louisiana-Monroe had never had a winning season in the FBS when they #BeatBama 21-14 in Bryant-Denny in '07

SEEE??!!!!? IT CAN HAPPEN!!!

You would be correct. Must have missed that neutral site game when looking through ESPN's old schedules

Wow, how did I forget that? He was about as much not there as he could be. Still kind of surprised Beamer let him back on the team. I feel really dumb now.

Standing Ovation

If you just have a talented team and dont do anything -- poor coaching, what have you -- youre going to win seven games. But if you have a team thats disciplined and knows how to not beat themselves, youre going to win nine.

"Thats about how it happens in college football. If you have talent and youre super disciplined, you have a chance to win nine ballgames. Now, if youre talented, super disciplined and have leadership, you have a chance to win a championship. And thats the thing that were trying to get right now with our older players. Weve got the talent. Were going to be disciplined. If were not, Im going to lose my mind. And were creating that leadership to be a championship team."

French - with this "haul" of OLs, does this change your thoughts on Teller? I still think his best position is OT, but im beginning to believe there may not be a spot for him...if he plays D this year, he would be coming in next with one less year of eligibility and into a pretty crowded room (who is recruited for Grimes system).

Not to mention what #manlove could bring in next year. I can only imagine what he could do with a full year to recruit (and being able to sell his story for this recruiting cycle).
