For a second I thought we were playing East Carolina already.

Excellent call losing turkey legs. Come on dude. Throwing in the towel before the game is even played is disgusting and inexcusable as a "fan." Please save yourself some money and leave your negativity out of Atlanta.

Why do we think we can beat bama because if you don't think you can you've already lost, we have to be confident and play hard, they're due a loss and were due a break, if we lose NBD but if we win tech will be more than on the map. It's gonna be a hard game and the players on the field will prolly have to play the game of their lives but there's a reason we play the game on the field and not on paper. Just like jmu beat us we can beat bama no team is invincible and the first step to winning.these games is believing you can

I feel I need to inject some reality into this thread. I'm sure I'll lose some turkey legs for the negativity but there are times when you need to step back and look at what you've got to get a job done. While I have full confidence that we have a defense capable of giving Alabama a harder time than most of their opponents this year--or even ALL of them--our offense is lacking any semblance of ability to score points. Literally the most positive thing I think of is McLaughlin dominating at left tackle and Edwards showing us that he can be Ryan Williams, but aside from that what exactly are we counting on here to score points? Just lock it up folks- this is a loss. I'll note that Ill be attending this game against my better judgment and this post is probably emotional prepwork to get through it.

In all fairness, to your points:

I agree that we aren't getting any respect from anyone in regard to this game. From Stewart Mandel's College Football Mailbag on SI:

Alabama fans will surely howl for leaving the Virginia Tech game off this list, but it's only because I don't expect it to be much of a game.

I think we'll be able to give the Tide a better game than that, in part because Saban, for as much as you don't like him, has shown in the past that he isn't really one to run up the score. The last time we played them, they were driving for what looked like an obvious exclamation point touchdown at the end and Saban called off the dogs. I'd take us at 22 points.

But the larger point remains. We have a history of coming up short in big games, and we are coming off our worst season in a long time. At the moment, we don't look like much competition for the Saban machine, and with Yeldon and Cooper at the skill positions (plus Antone being out, plus McCarron being very good), it is an obvious choice for someone who gets paid to write his opinions.

I believe we will be very competitive, more so than we are being given credit for. But I also have a hard time holding it against anyone when they predict a loss.

Does anyone know what the parking situation is like in the vile Ville on gameday?

Wow that guy is a champ! 200 is a lot of beer and a lot of time. A couple years ago some friends and I were doing 2 hours back to back pretty consistently. We tried going for 3 hours a couple times but just couldn't get it. Would get too drunk and get distracted after sitting there for 2+ hours.

A turkey leg for you and the century club

You, my good horse sir, are tripping. So I'm going to help you out. If (read "when") we beat the back-to-back, consensus #1 ranked program on Aug 31, we will be storming the field and you will be coming with us.

if you buy a ticket your guaranteed to leave by half time, when the game will be well in hand loluva

Nooop. She's glued to SEC Media Days (DVR'd) and anything "6degrees of separation" to AU she's snorting it like good news crack.

Thank gawd she's vote big boobs...

He has been a Kentucky lean this whole time, so not sure we can worry too much. He alo said if OSU offers, they will take a spot in his top 3.
