If you can shred someone like a southern gentleman, McCarron did it. Go for it, McCarron, I'm sick of Manziel being a spoiled little brat. I hope Jadeveon Clowney catches up to Manziel next year.

I think it comes with one of those booklets of coupons for papa johns, burger king, subway, and the like. You know, the kind that boy scouts and teams sell as fundraiser.

I took a 5 year break during my quest for a degree. When I left, West End had just been completed.

After I came back to finish my degree, I made a comment during a group project about avoiding the dining halls and the crappy food. I was met with blank stares and was kindly informed that we had one of the best dining services in the country.

Lived off-campus at that time, so I never really took advantage of it.

If we beat a top 5 team in lane when we are in ranked or lower ranked then storm that field. Its an awesome thing to do but only for big upsets in my opinion. I don't want to become one of those grumpy old men programs

I keep thinking about the Oklahoma-BYU opener a few years back, where Sam Bradford injured his shoulder and Landry Jones (a Freshman at the time) was forced into action and OU lost. I'm not a fan of winning because of an injury, but it is an element of the "tangibles" argument that cannot be overlooked. Shit happens.

Conference or non-conference opponent, beat a top 5 opponent in a stunning victory, rushing the field is appropriate. Unless we are ranked in the top 5 as well. Nebraska was one of the times when we probably shouldn't have rushed the field since we were ranked higher than them, but emotions were high after the ending to that game so it happened.

Turner has a pizza, salad, sushi, crepes, gelato, Jamba Juice smoothies, a southern style food place, a Brueggers Bagels place, a Qdoba, and a teppanyaki place.

Exactly. Through 2012, each district only had 2 divisions worth of teams, but the divisions were very disparate in terms of enrollments. They made the districts a long time ago, based on a combination of geography and enrollment, and the landscape of high schools across the state has changed dramatically in that time.

During this redistribution of the divisions, they maintained the districts because they are very geographically sound, and there have also been a number of rivalries spawned. If they redid the districts again to match the divisions, Hampton and Phoebus would end up in separate districts and would never play each other. (I'm sure there are other rivalries that would be affected, but I went to Hampton so this one hits close to home).

I wouldn't go that far. If we were playing in Lane on August 31 instead of Atlanta, I'd probably be one of the first ones on the field after we #BEATBAMA.

I mostly agree with you. We should never rush the field against a conference foe again, since we've proven ourselves among the ACC elite, only twice not finishing the season as the top-ranked team in the ACC.

However, on the national scene there's a whole different story. We have one win over a top-5 team all-time, against Miami in 2003 while we were both in the Big East. We beat #6 WVU at home in our first year in the ACC in 2004, and #9 4 times, twice against non-conference opponents, and never in Lane. If we beat a top-5 team in Lane before winning an MNC, then I'll rush the field. But that's about the only time.

Cinnabon is now a dunkin donuts. and sbarro is being taken out for a "gourmet burger" place

Yes, it has changed a bunch. There are tons of places scattered across campus where you can get good food.

West End serves many things: pizza, plate dinners, lobster, smoothies, and they have essentially a sports bar minus the bar that serves burgers, chicken strips, etc. Dietrick has been redone and renamed D2, it's a buffet-style place with numerous options, most of which are at least passable and some of which are really good. Hokie Grill has a small Chick-Fil-A and Pizza Hut, used to have a Cinnabon, and there's a BBQ place in it too. Owens is similar to West End but smaller, and fewer things that are awesome. And there's a new one called Turner Place out by Randolph and McBryde that has gone up since I graduated. I don't know much about it.

Other than those, there's a Sbarro and an Au Bon Pain in Squires, another ABP in the GLC, and the first floor of Dietrick has Deet's Place, an ice cream/coffee house, and DX (Dietrick Express), which is essentially a fast food restaurant with worse food.

French and/or Andy:

It seems like he Loeffler's offense was allot better when he was using a man/gap offensive line scheme at Temple.

Do you think Loeffler's offense wasn't as productive last year because he used Grime's zone blocking scheme? (I know Auburn's offensive line was very young)

Also, do you think they will incorporate both zone and man concepts this year on the offensive line since Tech does not have athletic enough offensive lineman to run a full blown zone scheme?

I'd pay that if Mike London gave me a get out of jail free card. After all, he was a cop.

My understanding is that its set up like that so that schools can stay in the same district for historical and travel purposes, but still compete against similar sized schools in the playoffs.
