Movie night on the lawn, dress to the nines
If you buy more than two, do you get complementary tickets to Mike London Movie Night?
Dont judge too much from the spring. Thats like deciding whether or not to buy a house thats under construction when it isnt much more than a basement. The Hokies installed the most base things of the offense and ran them repeatedly, regardless of whether the defense knew what was coming. The point was to drill home those basics until they became second nature, then expand on them in August.
Great point
VHSL scheduling is a mess. You have D5, D4, and D3 schools in the same district??? Makes me long for the days of A, AA, and AAA. Life was easy then.
They have to break that stuff out once in a while in order to justify its cost.
This reminds me of businesses that don't really advertise....the really good ones that build a successful business by word of mouth. We're winning the word of mouth battles out there.....encouraging...very encouraging!
I think we were discussing this in an earlier post.....I agree, the food must have improved light years beyond when I was there.....I still cringe when I think about the black jello...yeeesh!
When did you go to school? When I went, Hokie Grill was new, but only had Chic-fil-a and Pizza hut in it. West End wasn't built yet, and other than owens, you had Dietrich Runs. I'm glad that I stayed longer than normal, so that I could enjoy using my (and my girlfriends) Flex plan at West End, and at some of the new stuff that was popping up in Owens.
I remember during one of my visits, going to Owens and thinking I was in for some horrible school food. Glad they made some upgrades during my time there.
I got nothin....
MARTA in the middle of the night isn't much safer. I tend to avoid downtown except for the occasional football game, trip to the Aquarium or some festival, or trip in town for work. Traffic and parking are horrible.
It does.
Does MARTA go straight to the stadium? I figure I'll be using it a lot because I don't wanna walk around Atlanta in the middle of the night.
On the topic of profile pictures, you are the king. Miss that beard.
Its nice to see so much love (more to the point not calling them terrible) for Poquoson. Played there back in the day when we made the playoffs for the 2nd time in probably about 30 or 40 years. Crazy that they are actually decent in football nowadays!
If we were in the Pinstripe Bowl, I'd go. If we ever get back to the Orange, I might go there again since I haven't been since 1996. Other than that, ehhhh....they're on TV.
but we lost the Peach. So, net loss.
all that after a week of the fans screaming leal should be the starter, move logan to te, etc etc.
I remember the food sucking when I was at VT. Dining hall was awful.
I have seen numerous players tweeting about how good it is now. Wyatt Teller, CJ Reavis, etc.
At this point in our school's football history, I don't believe there should EVER be a field storming. Never at Lane. If we win a national championship, that field is mine. But that is the only one.
Some of those enrollments are mind boggling to me. Can't imagine what Texas' districting looks like.
On the topic of campus architecture, I got a chance to tour the new performing arts center they are building on alumni mall a few weeks ago, and it is impressive. I have never studied architecture so I guess I wouldn't really know, but I thought it was a nice looking building. I was very impressed.
Edit: Just saw you already commented on it. Glad to see my architectural opinions reinforced by someone who knows what they're talking about.
I believe that was also the last time we rushed the field after a game.
I took my brother to that game. He went go GMU, so this was his first college football game. After getting hammered in the parking lot, losing his ticket, scalping another and sneaking him into our section - I turned to him around half-time and asked what he thought.
"This is the greatest sporting event I have ever been to."
Edit: formatting and general bad internetting.
For sure, there was absolutely no need for it, I don't think there were any incidents (beyond drunk in public) that even happened that night.

$65? Really?
