I see his reasoning for putting VT in the Chick-Fil-A bowl over Clemson, since Clemson was in it last year. But, if Clemson ends up the ACC champ, I'm sure they'd select FSU over VT. So, VT better win the ACCCG anyways.

The Hokies offered Ford ... when he visited Blacksburg for a camp. Ford, a 6-foot-2, 187-pound southpaw, did not participate at the camp, instead just working on a few things with the coaches. The coaches wanted him to get a feel for how they approach the position.

When Ford got in his car to leave, he knew he was going to be a Virginia Tech commitment.

You cant make a decision on temporary feelings, so if I still felt like that now then wed make a decision, Ford said. One of those things people told me is you have that feeling and you know. I got in the car and knew its a place I wanted to be.

"Are you 100% on your commitment? Nobody's trying to come in and change your mind?"

"100% - nowhere else - I'm a Virginia Tech Hokie for life" -Andrew Ford

Going by his words, I'm not concerned.

Makes sense, they went to the same High School (probably grew up together).

Death Valley in Baton Rouge is a must. Went when we played them last. Great time. Ole Miss, Georgia, and Texas A&M are all on my short list too.

May get downvoted for this, oh well. I can objectively see why both were called back. The replay one, the ball clearly touched the ground and it's too difficult of an angle to see if he had control during. From the angle the camera had, I don't fault the refs too much. Furthermore, he had to regain control and that will typically end up in an incompletion. As for the PI, Jayron definitely grabbed jersey and pushed off. Granted, it wasn't much but at that size and speed, the smallest touch can make the difference.

I think the worst fake punt I've ever seen in my life was more to blame for that loss. We had the momentum. Defense was dominating. Michigan hadn't passed the 50 in the second half (may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they had trouble getting one first down the whole third quarter). And then we go ahead and let them right back in the game. Also, a huge false start in the red zone on our final regulation drive was very damaging.

I think having a first round RB in David Wilson, the two leading receivers in school history, and four senior and experienced offensive linemen to be much better then "above average" talent.

There is very little doubt in my mind that the Virginia Tech's skill players are above average this season when compared to the rest of the college football landscape. FSU, Clemson, and miami are the only schools in the ACC which should have better offensive weapons. That puts Tech as "above average" in the ACC.

The PSU folks say that Ford is still a risk to jump to PSU. Apparently he is good friends with Breneman.

I think I am going to try to go down to Clemson to see them play Florida St. in October.

In addition, I want to see Texas A&M play LSU at Tiger Stadium.

I am looking forward to Ford's progression over the next few years at Tech! We just need to make sure he has some quality receivers and an O-line.

TKP doesn't compete with TSL, we PWN them.

TKP is the Chuck Norris of VT fan sites.

I am also nauseous in a Ahmad Brooks, Kai Parham kind of way

Personally been to Florida and South Carolina games. Both are a great time.

Saying there is an above average talent level around LT3 seems like a HUGE overstatement to me. In 2011 he had above average talent I do not want to compare where this group is at right now to Boykin, Coale, Wilson as upperclassmen. Not to mention DeChristopher and Brooks on the line.

Yes, sir!! Got it Saturday. Going to wash it tonight so I can wear it to work tomorrow. :)

I'm not too sure about David Wilson. He certainly looks fast on tape but his best 100m time was only 11.01. That's definitely not slow, but I would expect guys in the "fastest ever" conversation to be around 10.5 or better.
