WVU played JMU at FedEx last season and traveled well, especially considering it was for a D1AA opponent. This would seem like a logical neutral site and solid money grab for both schools since it's likely tickets would sell out if it were in DC.

However, I agree with those in highly opposing a home and away with them. Awful awful home fans, I don't even feel safe watching us play at WVU from my couch, let alone in the stands.

Over the last week, I watched Tim Hardaway and Popeye Jones kids get drafted to the NBA and NHL respectively. Both were still playing well after I graduated from college. I am going to go eat some oat bran now.

Elderly...yeah, right. Assuming you played in the 92-95 time frame, I last suited up in '79, which was roughly when you were born. So hopefully you don't feel quite so old now French...I, on the other hand am going to look up walking canes on ebay....

Ah, good ole' Russian Hokie. Nice! He does some darn good work.

I used a complimentary argument for why VT should have pushed for the SEC. Yes, 10-win seasons streak wouldn't happen in God's Conference. However, the highs are higher, and the lows are lower. It's essentially a rotation at the top for who has a chance to play in the national championship. Alabama, Florida, and LSU are the elite in the SEC right now, but Tech would fall in the bottom part of next group of aTm, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina. Money aside, being able to pitch Tech as the northern most school in the SEC, the best conference would be powerful not only for VA kids, but NJ, Maryland, and Pennsylvania too.

I tell you what, New Jersey kids don't like to cover the tight end. He makes Danny Coale circa the 2010 ACC Championship Game look covered.

this would be the only way id ever leave lane to see that game. the 2004 game was incredible, but i had a friend go to the game in 2005 and she got hit in the head with a full beer can which cause her to have to get stitches. what kind of guy throws a beer can at a girl's head....well a wvu fan clearly. but a neutral site game would be kinda cool to go to if it was at the right place

The mobile QB was the crutch for bad VT offensive coaching, both gameplanning and development. How many Tyrod 8 yd scrambles on 3rd and 6 hid systemic flaws?

Hmm ... Miller at guard. Weren't the C to QB exchanges pretty bad once Miller got hurt last year? Or was it a case of less reps for the backup (Farris?)?

Well, I could say that Miller is a guard (or at least played guard every snap in the spring game. But, until we know who is going to be on the field, it is hard to say. I think Shuman is a lock at one guard. That leaves Miller, Farris, and Wang for two spots.

Bonner is the most important player because the base 4-4 that we saw VT use in the spring game and in the last couple of games in the fall featured an 8 man front, with a cover 3 matchup zone. Bonner isn't playing a "center field" like we think of with a free safety. Instead, he essentially will play a zone principled man coverage on anyone who runs into the center deep third. Early in the season, they used him as a nickel corner while Jarrett and Cole played safeties. Bonner got picked on. If Exum and Fuller are healthy, teams are going to attack Bonner, and if he can't do the job then Foster will have to abandon the attacking blitzing 4-4.
