That comment/post alone is worth a post by itself.

One of my favorite movies. Love his line where he says, "I'm gonna fix that quick, fast, and in a hurry."
I want to make fun of him for this but I'm not important enough to be mentioned on twitter. Unless you count the hashtag, which isn't really me. I mean the person, me. Not the horseonatreadmill.
Agree on all counts. But then signing the NLI doesn't mean a whole lot. I'm all for having the opportunity to do what is best for the player, but a coach/AD can't make their program a revolving door. At the same time, the young men who sign up to play suddenly have an opportunity to express a personal choice - one that carries with it a responsibility and a commitment, the latter of which a high school athlete hasn't really had to encounter before.
I do think, though, that the NCAA, member schools, college players, and high schools/h.s. athletes/h.s. athlete parents need to take a step back and understand the big picture here. Sometimes I hear of some of these transfer stories and wonder to myself who is providing guidance to these guys. Because some of them don't seem to understand that the decisions they're making are setting the course of their lives before they even realize it.
"The Hokies may have even overcome the Cavaliers in this particular recruiting battle." Yeah, cause the Hokies definitely haven't been able to overcome the Cavs in recruiting or actual games in quite some time, right? *SARCASM*
Just because someone is talented in football it doesn't mean they are under any obligation to stay in-state for college. I grew up in NJ and felt no obligation to stay at home and go to Rutgers. (thank God!)
Of course, I am not 6-5, 300lbs and can rush the QB....
I'm not really into basketball all that much, but from what I've heard, generally, if you're a lottery pick, you're sort of expected to contribute in some way shape or form, even if you're a career backup. Generally, I think the rule is that second round picks and lower (wait, how many rounds are there?) end up playing in Turkey or Lebanon.
Having said that, I'd love to have a Hokie in the pros. Deron Washington was my favorite player back in the day, and I think he ended up in...Turkey or Lebanon.
I had to look it up:
But Altoona, PA is.
I find that if you put mustard on a hat it goes down easier....
Ironically enough, French rugby is actually really good. I guess they took ALL the men of the country (all 22 or so) and put them on one team.
Huh. If only he could find the safety like he finds Tweets.
With Brown announcing on the 29th, I think it has to be someone else. But we'll see.
Actually, I hadn't seen those, but they are also great. I think the one I'm thinking of might have been made by the same person. It had the same music at the beginning as part of 3 of that series, but there were player intros at the beginning and it had highlights from the entire season. I may be wrong about it being 2008, but I definitely remember Jason Worilds and Macho Harris being featured in the intro.
Let it also be known that Peter Lalich routinely searches himself on Twitter and seeks people out
@marcolini11 I think I remember you saying something similar happened to you? pic.twitter.com/j20UcfWfLc— Johnny (@JPCVT) June 12, 2013
MADD will be visiting you soon, haha.
What no one has mentioned yet, is that he likes the music program at VT. He wants to be a producer or something similar, so I think that may be partially why VT took a lead.
STOP IT YOU GUYS
YOU'RE GETTING MY HOPES UP AGAIN
A quick Google search brought up this NYT article:

I've always thought that coaches and athletic departments are playing a dangerous game recruiting wise when it comes to limiting the options for athletes that want to transfer. Shell could easily decide that since Pitt wouldn't allow him to follow the coach that recruited him to another school, he will do everything he can to persuade the next cycles recruits to avoid Pitt. When a former player for a school contacts a prospect on twitter and tells you that the Coach/AD at a school is a vindictive A-hole, it would probably negatively affect their view of that school. I can see it being reasonable to limit transfers within a conference, to rival teams, or upcoming opponents, but not allowing an athlete to follow a coach to a program you aren't playing in the near future or the type of shenanigans pulled by the OSU(OK) coach in the article that blocked 40 schools (a full third of FBS) is exercising too much control over their options.
On the other hand if a program takes the, "I hate to see you go, but we want you to be at the school that fits your needs best" approach and does very little to limit where a player transfers, then the player is likely to come away feeling that the school has their best interests in mind. In the future they would be more likely to tell other recruits that its a good place to go, that the staff will do whatever possible to ensure their success, etc.

Todays Wapo article...
I've read somewhere that the spurs are interested along with the jazz and pacers...and the spurs apparently have said that if he is there at 28 (their pick) they will take him, but they don't think he'll be there sooo it sounds good for him if that stuff is true
i think it would be safe to say all of our cheerleaders.....combined
it's true only the first rounders get guaranteed money but it's not like getting drafted in the 2nd is a negative. what matters is he'll get a chance in a camp. what is guaranteed is that he'll show up in shape and ready to work.
i dont know of anything solid, but there's been persistent murmurs that the lakers are very interested.
2013 recruit Wyatt Teller was also on one of the teams.

"Imma gonna be the first one to sack the quarterback."
"Bro, you be trippin."
"You are on."
