Derrick Nnadi: The 2014 Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes defensive tackle is one of the powerful and strongest linemen that you'll see in the class. He's also fast, finishing second in the linemen portion of the fastest man competition to a player that was 65 pounds lighter than him. Nnadi shines in one-on-ones, so Sunday's performance came as no surprise. He also flipped to offensive line to take on Andrew Brown and won a rep on the offensive side of the ball against him. Virginia and Virginia Tech are considered the favorites but Ohio State, Florida State, Penn State, and Michigan State are making a big push.
from a free article on 247.
On another forum I am on this was a post:
Per 4bird on 247 and his 5star challenge vid on rivals, derek nnadi named his leader as VT, followed by (in order):
Fsu, tOSU, UVA, Sparty, penn state
Dude must love cologne.
Has he been on campus yet?
Nnadi had actually listed us as a favorite not long ago at a camp. I will see if I can find the article. We are in really good shape with Nnadi
Check out his presence in the pocket too (0:43 1:49 2:05 2:27 2:33 all great examples). I am liking this kids confedence, he is aware of defenders while keeping his eyes down field. I'm really liking this kid too. Like his coach said "He's Smart."
Edit: oops somehow left off the last few words.
Hey now Horseonatreadmill I do have a name (April) haha But seriously. I would wear it if it promised to attract some nice Hokie men. :)
Couple thoughts..
1. He's extremely accurate. He made a few throws where the CB was in the WRs back pocket and he dropped the ball in there perfectly. He's also extremely confident in his accuracy - - he'll throw the ball to a spot where he knows only his guy can get it, even if when he starts his windup his WR is covered.
2. He anticipates the location of his guy as well as the defender. He anticipates where he wants to put the ball, and uses his accuracy to get it exactly there.
The answer to any of the rhetorical questions either you or I have asked: it's the kid's choice. If anyone is being disrespectful it's the fans who can't deal with that. It's the recruit's life, his choice, it shouldn't be made to appease anyone but him.
Bruce Feldman says that Alabama has 8th softest non-conference schedule next year:

Do you mean #fordandhodges4Heisman ?
This reminded me of Braveheart, where William Wallace says he is ten feet tall and shots lightning out of his arse.
I am liking him for listing academics first in his tweet... shows character.
"After much thought and many prayers, I am proud to announce that I will be continuing my academics and athletics at Virginia Tech"
I'm sorry but that last point is wrong.
#ParkandHodges4Heisman
Then AMB4VT pops up and says, "Ladies, this is out of whack"
Apparently Microsoft and EA are in disagreement over when it was supposed to be released.
It is worth noting that against Georgia (who spent a significant amount of time in the shotgun), Alabama ran a ton of four man fronts, either with four down linemen, or three down with the jack linebacker playing as a stand up defensive end. It seemed that Georgia had some success coming to the line, motioning the running back to the side of the QB that shadows the DE moved inside to tackle, and then ran power plays at the nose. The backs would often have a nice cutback lane because Georgia's guards would whip the defensive end who moved down to tackle. Just a thought as we move forward in this review...
Example: The Nose (#54) is lined up as a three technique over the outside eye of the left guard. Georgia runs a power delay from the shotgun at the nose, and cuts back over the block of the right guard, who has driven the defensive end (I think #92) back about four yards. The end was lined up as a one technique, but the guard scooped him with relative ease and drove him back.

How I envision advertising for these things going:
"Look at your man. Now look at me, now back to your man, now back to me! Sadly, your man is not like me, but he could be if he was wearing the new VT fragrance. Ladies, it'll get after ya."
There will also be a time lapse of the new board being put up as well once that is finished

Yeah, the guy over at NikeBlog.com insists that it's either purple or violet. I'm not sure he's ever seen a color chart:

I was just coming here to ask if there was video of the demo done on the scoreboard for a project im working on. Thanks for posting! Please let me know if you find any on the construction!
Recruiting sites also base their part of their evaluations on how many scholarships a kid has, ford only had VT Temple and UMass listed when in reality he had more, I think he is a bit underrated by some recruiting sites.
For example I played with a kid in high school who was NR or a 2 star recruit, PSU offered and OSU followed (in an attempt to not miss out) and he quickly shot up to a 3(4* by scouts but scouts kind of sucks). These sites follow closely what colleges think of them and what kind of scholarships they are offered.
Too funny. We should set up a WikiRoster on this site and make up facts about everyone on the team.

If top in-state talent goes to other schools, then the problem lies with Virginia Tech and UVA not putting the effort and resources into recruiting and developing a program that is attractive to those recruits. The problem does not lie with an 18 year old kid going to the school that makes him happy and that makes him feel it is the best choice for his future.
I have held back on crushing Frank Beamer for being on vacation when Cornwell visited. But, Frank Beamer was on vacation when a five star recruit was on campus. Somehow I doubt that Hoke, Saban, Jimbo, Dabo, Fedora, or other coaches we are battling for the top guys are absent when premier talents visit campus. I am just saying...
We as fans can't be mad at the kids. They have earned the right to make this decision. Nobody sent me threatening tweets when I left a career at a grassroots advocacy non-profit when I made a choice to go "work for the man," and I assure you that choice was much more dark and greed driven than a kid deciding to go to a good school and football program out of state.
