I only buy it when something major has changed in college football. I have '13, so I can create custom conferences (UVA is now in the Atlantic and is now my cross-over team. Goodbye BC!). I will skip this year, but I will grab next year's when Playoffs start.

I bought 13 thinking that I would have time to play and I never even made it through a season. As you said, there are no major improvements that make it better from one year to the next except updating rosters, conferences, and uniforms. Whoopdie-doo.

Agreed. I have become disenfranchised with EA Sports titles over the years. Why should I shell out $60 for what essentially amounts to an update, especially when they're just going to shut off the online servers within 2 years, essentially forcing me to buy the next game if I want to continue playing? I can update the rosters and conferences myself, thanks.

Just a point I wanted to bring up:

I don't think UNC is going to be better than VT this year. Their defense was spotty at best last year, and with the loss of Kevin Reddick I highly doubt that they'll drastically improve (they gave up 68 points to GT last year AND lost to Duke).
Bryn Renner is a good QB, but losing Giovanni Bernard and three starting o-linemen (including Johnathan Cooper) is going to hurt that offense, as well.

I'll agree that UNC is "ascending" considering they had a good year last year after Butch didn't do much of anything, but Fedora is nowhere near the top coach in the league. Not even top 5. I would argue that Beamer, Jimbo, Dabo, PJ, and Cutcliffe are all better coaches than Fedora. Let's see how he does in year 2.

Per Gobbler Country:

Gayle is rated 93 overall with 86 speed, 81 strength, 77 agility, 91 acceleration and 85 awareness. Not quite the beast we know he is, but will still be a monster.

Logan has 81 speed, 83 agility and 85 acceleleration. Fast for a QB still.

No tailbacks in our top 10 rankings, so that's still a mystery. Mark Leal is in our top 10 though at 88 OVR!!!

I am very interested to see where this discussion goes tomorrow after we have all played the demo for a few hours. Who is the starting tailback?? Is Logan slow?? How nasty is Gayle?? ahhhhh

Nice thing about QB's playing WR is they know all the routes and plays very well. Just have to have the athleticism.

Won't happen. We'd just slide a wide receiver over to cover QB. Most of them played QB in high school anyway.

I don't plan on buying NCAA 14, but I'll definitely be downloading this and playing it over, and over, and over...

Thanks for posting the image, +1. Bing isn't my favorite search engine either, but it was the one that placed this pic right at the front, and had the least hits.

Ford and Hodges are both good prospects. We will need both to push one another to get better in hopes that one will become a BCS conference QB.

What I was trying to say is we have not landed the blue chip QB we have become accustomed to. While we have never had the top 10 recruiting classes of FSU, Clemson, Miami - we have still been able to land a nationally ranked 4-5 star QB.

Taylor, Randall, and MV2 were all #1 dual threat QBs the years they came out - and for many seasons we have been able to rely on their talents to carry our offense. They are the type of talent you could play immediately and not have to wait till their R-Jr seasons to fully develop.

There is just less certainty of All ACC level success with Ford and Hodges.

i thought the same thing after seeing this, we were on a lot of "descending" lists going into the 04 season. analysts were laughing at our chances against usc, just like they are this year. bud will have his guys ready, the new members of the staff have to prove they can get theirs ready to go as well and we can give bama more than they're bargaining for.

Ok, well here's a happy horse then.

Thank god for google images. There's literally nothing you can't find

I can't handle many more of these sad horse pics....its already a rainy, gloomy Tuesday at the office. haha :)

Rivals currently lists him as the number 11 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania for 2014. He is the third QB listed behind JJ Cosentino (FSU) and Chandler Kincade (Akron).

It's still early and the rankings will most likely change between now and signing day.
