IT WAS A CATCH!
Well he got Finkled out of a major bowl win in the Sugar Bowl...
Ha that's another whole debate in itself. He was supposed to do great last year. I'm not getting greedy with my expectations for him this year.
I might have missed some, but after a quick glance at the record book on Hokie Sports, I expect Logan to take over the top spot in all of these catagories. He is:
11 behind career TD passes (37 to Brian Randall's 48)
921 behind career passing yards (6,096 to Tyrod Taylor's 7,017)
74 behind career Passes attempted (846 to Will Furrer's 920)
29 behind career passes completed (466 to Tyrod Taylor's 495)
2,102 behind career total offense (7,111 to Tyrod Taylor's 9,213)
187 behind career plays (1179 to Tyrod Taylor's 1366)
All that said, Logan hasn't lead us to an ACC championship or major bowl win like Tyrod did. This year is his last chance to avoid becoming our Dan Marino.
The Blueberry Cake is absolutely amazing. Apple N' Spice is damn good too. I mean, putting apple pie filler in a donut, C'MON!!!
Sidenote: "C'Mon" to be read in your best Gob Bluth voice
"we were just talking officer"
Well...at least that's legal. I'm pretty sure vtfly is guilty of a felony.
I came in here about to say that yes, he is worthy, based on the 3 ACC championships, ACC POY and 2 ACCCG MVPs. But honestly, I kind of lean the other way now if the most common argument to his individual excellence is that "he was such a great leader" -- a totally subjective assessment that, let's be honest, we watching in the stadium or on TV have very little way to judge.
Tyrod is the most accomplished QB in Virginia Tech history. That might have to be enough.
To add onto that, Logan should easily take over some of the Career marks this year.
The 31-year-old in me thinks the same thing.
The 9 year old in me thinks its hilarious that it now says "Ho" on our campus...
seriously...and a cigarette...
kind of sad actually.

I agree that we haven't seen a Tech player lately more deserving than Tyrod. But that doesn't mean he is deserving. We don't HAVE to retire a jersey every five or so years. The most recent player was Jake Grove, who won the Rimington as the NATION'S top center. Before that, Michael Vick and Corey Moore, who both won awards as the NATION'S best at their respective positions. If we retire Tyrod, then why not Lee Suggs (NCAA record holder)? What about Vince Hall, who led the team in tackles for, I dunno, 10 straight seasons. Tyrod is a top five (3? 2?) QB in Virginia Tech history. Hell of a player, and a fan favorite. You know who else was? Bryan Randall (the guy who owned all the school records Tyrod broke). Just a thought.
The way you phrased "100 days of summer" was pretty great. It is absolutely true. We have 100 days of summer (awesome) capped off with watching our favorite team play the two-time defending national champions in a BCS bowl atmosphere. These next 100 days are going to rock. I love life. #BEATBAMA
But the memories will last a lifetime
Tough for VT to sell tickets at $72 when people can get them for $4. Wish something could be done to fix the system.
I'm not as bullish on Trey Edmunds as most are, either. He's an upright runner, and I was not impressed with his ability to get tough yards after contact in the spring. I also did not see enough of him choosing the right hole to plant his foot and explode through in the zone scheme. We'll see.
Case in point in the spring game: after Stanford's long completion that put the 1st team offense in a 1st and goal situation, Trey could not punch it in after 3 attempts. One of those attempts was blocked perfectly, putting Trey one-on-one with Brandon Facyson. That's exactly how it is designed, and it's a matchup our RBs need to win every single time. Unfortunately, Trey did not win in the spring game, and Alabama's defense will be better than our 2nd-string D. (Not to take anything from Brandon, who we all know played lights out).
Oh man...I lived in the townhouses (Clover Valley) on the other side of the woods from Carol Lee. On the first Football Saturday of the Fall (that VT wasn't playing), I would go to Carol Lee's in the morning and get a dozen donuts, come back and watch Game Day/Football all day while eating donuts and drinking milk. Sometimes I would share them with my roommates.
The best was going right before they closed for the night. They would give you a box for a couple bucks and you could fill it up.
erroneous. i'm not aware of Krispy Kreme having the Blueberry Cake donut, nor the apple n' spice.
I thought back then, it was understood 2015 was the earliest the series could resume?
Maybe the next time we go to Morgantown, the VTCC could provide escort to the team? It would be an excellent way to prep for convoy ops!

You'll get no argument from me on that
