I believe the way he helped the team rebound after the start of the 2010 season, is reason enough.

Tyrod was a great leader and a great Hokie, but I don't think we will be seeing his jersey retired. He had a great body of work, but I don't believe he ever won any major national award.

That 1 loss courtesy of Marcus 'Middle Finger' Vick

Agreed about Miami. The programs are opposite ends of the spectrum as far as image is concerned. Look at the footage of games going back to the Big East days, even the players don't like each other. Sometimes those games felt one cheap shot away from a brawl. UVA is annoying and easy to make fun of, but Miami gets my blood boiling like no other.

Pitt annoys me for the simple fact we haven't beaten them since Michael Vick was here. I'd love to see rivalries develop more with Clemson, GT and FSU as well

I've never been to Morgantown but that is what I've heard, too. I do miss playing them, though. They won the Sugar Bowl in 2005, finishing 11-1 during the 1st year of Pat White/Steve Slaton, who both entered the game, if I recall correctly, because we injured their QB and RB. Unfortunately, we didn't stop them from winning the national championship that year, because Texas and USC would have played regardless.

So if Loefller is worth keeping, VT pays him around $600k

Yeah, that's my question. If Loeffler is worth $600K, will VT fork out $600K for two Coordinators? And a very highly paid OL Coach?

Thanks, that does make me feel better. I agree, Logan can be the #1 pick and could go for 35+ total TD's this year. I like Stanford a lot but have my concerns about Knowles and I wasn't expecting Caleb to be contributing this year.

From memory, Auburn had RB's better suited for their previous scheme....more JCC types. I assume Edmunds is well suited for Loeffler's plan.

Indeed. For a while, I had operated under the assumption that the baseball standings were like basketball, given that the season schedule is also a lot more like basketball (play anyone in the conference) than it is football (play your division + 1 from the other division).

Okay, that makes sense. I didn't do too much looking into it, but just saw that UVA had 1 more win than UNC, didn't pay attention to the fact that they played 2 more games than UNC (presumably due to weather cancelling games). Also, I didn't realize that Baseball used the divisions like we do in Football. Now it all makes sense.

This is the same justification I came up with too. I think it would have been a lot easier to understand if they just ranked the top 8 conference winning percentages, but this adds incentive to try and win your division.

UNC has a better record, with 21-7 being 0.750 winning percentage and UVa at 22-8 with 0.733, so UNC is first place in Coastal. FSU is first in the Atlantic but has a lower record, so they're #2. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it looked weird to me so I looked up the full standings to be sure.

Okay, explain this to me because I don't get it...why is UNC the #1 seed, FSU the #2 seed and UVA the #3 seed when UVA has the better conference record than both and a better overall record than FSU? Somehow that just doesn't line up to what I would have expected...

I will never forget the moment during my freshman year when one of the girls down the hall shouted, "There are HOW MANY calories in one of those?!?" Then everyone left for the gym.

there's that and then there's the "hokie at the moutaineer tailgate" video. they're both pretty entertaining

it's extremely satisfying listening to eers try to rationalize why no major conference within a thousand miles of morgantown wanted anything to do with them.

Well, let's apply the oft-debated criteria for induction. No significant national awards, but...he was ACC POY (2010), ACC Offensive POY (2010), and is a two-time ACC Championship Game MVP (2008, 2010). Led us to three BCS Bowl Games (starter/contributor on three ACC Championship teams), and holds the Tech career records for Total Offense, Wins by a Starting QB, Rushing TD's by a QB, and TD passes in a season. Removing MV7's two-year accolades and MNC appearance, given Tyrod's body of work and imprint on Tech's record books, he is by all-intents-and-purposes the most accomplished quarterback in Tech history.

I would say that is the WVU way of saying they don't want to play us, haha.

Ever see the video of the WVU fan taking a dump in the GT band seat?

WOOOOOOOOOOW! Doesn't surprise me from them inbred fuckers out west.
