Or that one guy is black.
I heard that in Tuscaloosa they actually do say "Roll Tide" after saying bye, so I'm gonna start saying "Beat Bama"
UL was only let in after UMD bolted, the ACC needed another team.
no problem folks. The "twitter decoding for white guys" comment is hilarious hahaha
Now if one of you photoshop guys can find a picture of somebody telling someone to be quiet in the library and put Exum's face on the shoosher and sammy's face on the other, that would great. I'm sure Exum would tweet it at him haha.
I think this was definately aimed at Oregon, but I can't remember which other football teams did it. I have recognized it has become a trend with some other schools and sponsors. I think Michigan's bball uniforms lately are yellow on yellow? (at least the nameplate)
Exactly.
That deserves some Peter Dill celebrations
FSU's name brings a lot of value and feel as if FSU was to leave that would crumble the ACC as a football league. I don't see FSU joining the SEC with UF/USC/UGA forming united group against non-SEC rivals. I could see FSU joining the Big XII and taking along Clemson. If FSU leaves there's no available school that comes close to bringing the same value.
I'm on the #VT4SEC bandwagon and think if any ACC team jumps then Weaver should be on a plane to SEC headquarters (Birmingham?)
Making them join a conference where they have to go to Ames, Iowa and Kansas on a regular basis is a good way to punish them. It should be mentioned that the ACC and SEC told WVU no.
And the best way to stick it to the 'neer faithful, is by beating the living shit out of their team on the gridiron.
Looks like someone was raised right. Parent of the century nominees right there.
I was stronger my senior year of high school (in the bench at least) than Trey Edmunds his freshman year of college. This is a good moment for me. I'm gonna go savor this for a while and possibly let some friends know. Side note: whether or not that is still the case is irrelevant. I want my moment.
That actually makes a whole lotta sense. Thanks.
Eventhough geography may not be that important, if you notice, only the Big East really went out of the geography setting. Most of the conferences have bordering states. The B1G picked up UMD, however, they are next to Pennsylvania which had Penn State.
I just can't see the Pac 12 picking up a team on the east coast. I can see them plucking Texas and OU because they are close enough, don't think they would go much further than that. There really isn't anyone else nearby to join in (other than BYU), and they would want to continue to make their conference strong.
In the end, one way or another, one of the remaining 5 BCS conferences will have to fold. Doesn't work out for the playoff to have 5. I think this is why ND is perched to jump into the ACC at a moments notice, because they know that the independent talk won't exist when the playoff happens.
I would love to see Mangus embrace a role in the slot as many people have talked about. He could really be an X factor there for this team going forward.
Was it Michigan who had the Yellow-on-White numbers last year? It was terrible. I feel like this rule was put in place to curb that.
#!
NOTE TO SELF: Use "Thor Hammer" celebration more often in life
And this has been another edition of "Twitter Decoding for White Guys".
I just noticed the following numbers of HokieSports rosters....
Chris Mangus
5'11" 187 lbs.
270 lb bench
330 lb front squat
255 lb push jerk
Trey Edmunds
6'1" 212 lbs.
250 lb bench
330 lb front squat
255 lb push jerk
Although they are the same academic year, Trey is a year younger due to skipping a grade. I would assume that Trey, with his larger frame, will improve and surpass Chris Mangus's weight lifting numbers in the near future.
However, don't write off Mangus as being a contributor at RB this year. By all reports he is a burner (probably the fastest of the RBs) - - if he can get his weight up (around 200 maybe?), maintain his speed, and is as strong as Trey Edmunds right now, why wouldn't we expect him to be in the picture??
If taught the proper way to tackle and to hit and with the new helmets that are being developed it will be as safe as other sports to play!
I feel like that last rule was a direct shot at Oregon.
i hope you're right, an ejection is a pretty harsh penalty. if it makes it safer im ok with it, i just dont want to see a player get ejected and completely change the outcome of the game especially if the hit is boarderline legal, even with a review i have a feeling were going to see one of these penalties over and over again on sportscenter because it changed the outcome of a game
WVU's fan base would be a disgrace to the ACC.

Comment retracted. Nevermind.
