These numbers all but prove the notion that it matters what team you're on, not that you're the best player. His totality of individual stats is phenomenal. He's not just a shooter, but a complete player. He's going to be an absolute steal in the NBA draft (think Jimmy Butler, but not on roster behind Derrick Rose).

There are 6 such ACC games being played at repeat sites. We have 3. In addition to @Miami and @BC, we play Duke at home again. Joy.

I sat here one day and figured out a way to maintain the current matchups while also maintaining the home-away cadence, but I think I heard something about the ACC wanting to go to a system where all "annual crossover" games are played at the site of the Atlantic Division team one year, and the Coastal Division team the next. In years past, it has always been 3-and-3, where each division had 3 home "annual crossover" games each year. Changing this around apparently changed a few other things around too.

I developed this based off the stats maintained at ESPN.com for each player. Very few categories that Green is even in the 20s for. All of the Naismith nominees had one major thing in common, team record all in single digits for losses. I have a chart of all the data if anyone is interested, I just couldnt figure out how to format it into here correctly.

Erick Green Compared to 30 Naismith
MIN 2nd (2nd amongst Guards)
FG% 17th (7th amongst Guards)
3P% 16th (12th amongst Guards)
FT% 8th (6th amongst Guards)
REB 23rd (11th amongst Guards)
AST 8th (8th amongst Guards)
BLK 23rd (12th amongst Guards)
STL 12th (11th amongst Guards)
PF 2nd (1st amongst Guards)
TO 12th (5th amongst Guards)
PTS 1st (1st amongst Guards)
TM AVG PTS 12th (7th amongst Guards)
TM OFF% 1st (1st amongst Guards)
Win Last
Loss Last

the result was Derring & Whittemore

There will not be any plans to expand the student section for at least 10-15 years.

I sent a few emails to the athletic department about graphics on the old scoreboard. It would drive me crazy that they would put stupid wallpaper images when they were showing stats of the game. The images would distort the actually game stats. I would love to know who is in control of the graphics. Of course, I like simple and clean.

I was gonna make the MVP vs. POY argument but you made it for me. There are multiple problems for Erick.

1. We never get on National TV, so the people outside of the ACC would never think to watch us play because we have nothing to play for.

2. The ACC voters have their heads so far up Coach K and Roy Williams' asses that they would never vote for Erick, Plumlee will win ACC POY in the most undeservingly fashion possible.

3. People don't want to admit how good he is. ESPN runs these awards, whoever they hype up ends up winning them. We are rarely on ESPN (ESPN3 doesn't count) so they don't want people to care about him. They want people to watch Oladipo, Burke, Plumlee and Olynyk.

I disagree that he isn't in the top echelon. If you consider top 10 to be upper echelon then I think he's definitely up there. Marcus Smart and Otto Porter? Neither of those two are as good as Green. ESPN currently has Shane Larkin ahead of him, he's good for a Sophomore but he's not better than Green, he's not even close to Green.

This is about the year I thought Thursday night games would've ended. However, I thought that would be because VT was playing Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky on Saturdays. No Thursday night home games while still in the ACC is like taking Turkey Legs out of Lane Stadium. If you're going to kill a tradition, do it for the reason of making VT football better.

When are the students going to take their OJ bottles filled with 1/2 vodka to their 9am classes, skip all classes after 12, and appear hungover at all Friday classes?

VT played Miami away last year too, I thought it alternates between home and away, at least in division? Maybe I assumed wrong? Maybe this is just the ACC at work. We play at BC too and I remember we played their last year because their high school stadium stood out.

This is why having younger coaches really helps with recruiting. Shane and Moorehead are relatively young guys, so the players can joke around with them a little bit. Do you think they would ever even think to screw around with Foster or Frank? That wouldn't end well.
