Let's turn the indoor practice facility into a water park with a beach.

it's real, it's in the lockeroom. frank wants them to have a workman's mentality. something a blue collar guy like myself can certainly appreciate.

since shane is already recruiting charlotte, i'd imagine he's in sc. could be wrong though.

Yes, he saw/sensed pressure and before it had even gotten to him he would cower and go into the fetal position rather than try and fight through/out of it. It was demoralizing...

I don't know how you can call it a drama free day when our top offensive recruit at a high need position doesn't sign. That strikes me as major drama.

It seems like there's a tremendous amount of overlap between Southwest Virginia, Roanoke, New River Valley, and I-81 corridor recruiting responsibilities. Do we really need 4 people to divide up such a sparsely populated area so close to the school? For all the talk about how we don't have the resources to recruit other parts of the country, maybe it's because we're wasting so many resources here.

I hate to be critical because I like the kids we got very much, but I don't think it would be controversial to say this staff is extraordinarily slow to embrace change and continuous improvement.

the VT offense was all go routes and QB scrambles. And it was effective, but there was no rhyme or reason to it. We failed to develop a big boy passing scheme, or execute it. So, what do you do? You let Tyrod run around instead of coaching Glennon to burn the blitz with his arm.

It's nice to have a QB who is mobile enough to escape pressure. It's better to have a QB who can't be pressured because is coached to burn a blitz.

Glennon often saw blitzes coming and failed to do anything about it as well.

What the F Jeff?!?! What the French toast?!? What the f*ck Chuck?!? This info has to be incorrect. He was just talking about how he wanted to be a Hokie. Why would he go to that train wreck called Knoxville.
I'm from Marion, so I know exactly what you mean.

Bama is just so talented and so well coached across the board -- man --- it's just not fucking fair -- haha

a few comments:

a -- i bet $500 that nick saban sends someone to watch the spring game and if televised, he'll watch it at some point

b -- not saying mccarron isn't a good quarterback .. he's a very good quarterback .. but let's get real -- he played behind FIVE future NFL starters on the line, he had TWO future NFL running backs in the game, a few studs at WR, and a DOMINANT defense. Stick 30 other D1 QBs in that system for 3 years and they all are just as good, if not better.

I expect to see Katherine Webb wearing James Gayle's jersey when the game's over.

yeah .. Cooper is a burner and pretty good. The one guy we couldn't afford to lose was Exum

I hope you're right. Let's not tell him how far away the coast is. Wonder if Claytor Lake will pass for the beach?

So Saban/bama not having tape on us, not knowing our tendencies, not knowing our patterns, not knowing what we do in certain scenarios, etc. is not an advantage for us? I just don't get the logic.

I agree. This'll come down to attitude, execution and a bit of luck. Strong special teams and solid, fundamentally sound football will give us a chance to win.

1. Is that "Time to Work" picture a photoshop job or does that mural/set up really exist somewhere? Cause its awesome
2. Who recruits SC? Maybe I'm just dumb but I don't see it listed. I would think Shane?

You expect to see a blocked punt or field goal taken back to the house.

I simply expect for Virginia Tech to play by-God Hokies' football. I expect to see four full quarters of competitive football and us winning the game because Cody "The Clutch" Journell comes through on the game-winning field goal.

I expect to see Nick Saban lose his breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert when he see Logan Thomas trucking somebody from the Bammers' secondary.

I expect to see the offensive line take on a mean, nasty streak that would make the NWO crew blush.

Anything else I miss?
