Is he the highest ranked recruit being brought in Tech history? I feel like Tyrod was up there and he is Kendall is 18 spots higher.
The people on 247 are douches.
Nor do I but 247sports is what I'd choose .. Rivals' rankings are alright .. Scout sucks ..
Your best bet, tkp, sports hoopla, and twitter
Loeffler was his lead recruiter for Auburn. It looks like the kid is more interested in Loeffler than the school. That isn't a bad thing if Loeffler can also call plays and coach the QBs well.
I actually prefer the 2008-2009 versions. It was modern, and it looked good. Didn't overdo the orange. I don't like the white numbers on front and orange numbers on the shoulders on the old ones.
I don't follow recruiting very heavily, and most news breaks on Twitter, so I no longer see the value in subscription sites.
Work it Chung!!
That would be awesome! I don't have a preference in the matchup, just want to see a good game. Now I might lean towards Baltimore...
Classic
Thanks for sharing. I think that last note about the staff's average age dropping by almost 10 years is an important one.
I think Malleck needs to be on the field as much as possible. He is athletic enough to be a major threat through the air and is developing his blocking to be better and better. He showed both of these last year mainly the miami game when he was feature in the pass game. I think with Edmunds and Harris (fingers crossed) in a power running game will really open up the play action game and Malleck in the middle of the field. McCray will also definitely get a lot of snaps in my opinion. What does everyone else think because the tight end will be cruicial position this year in the power running game and I think that we have the athletes to finally have a season where the tight end can become a key player in the offense. Thoughts?
That 2003 Miami uni was the best IMO. Wish we would go back that that.

Oh. My. God. Yes.
My sister is a Vol so my whole family went down to the game. She was being such a bitch when our first drive didn't go anywhere, and totally flipped when the refs (rightfully) put 2 seconds back on the clock at the end of the first half.
She was such a harridan throughout the entire game that we forced her to stick around for the trophy ceremony. Victory has never been so sweet.
My husband and I repeatedly used the phrase "Thirty seven-fourteened" after that game...
Hokies have a ton of out of position depth at tight end, but are light at the tackles. I don't know what the plan is, but young kids who are long and athletic with a road grader attitude are going to get a chance to play.
I cannot wait for thursday night. Even if it's not football, #allmarooneverything has me PUMPED.
That's the team that had Clinton Portis and Ed Reed on it too.
To keep this short, I only included games that I attended. I use the terms "games" and "attended" loosely. You will see why.
In chronological order:
1999 vs. Miami: This was our first real test in the 99 championship run. I was in the old North Endzone (the rickety green ones) and they were shaking because it was over-capacity. Miami jumped out to a quick 10 point lead and I remember thinking that we had finally met our match. Slowly, Tech was able to gain momentum and eventually scored 43 unanswered points. In the 3rd quarter, we knocked Miami QB Kenny Kelly out of the game. I tried to shout "Oh my God, we killed Kenny!" - but my voice was gone by that point.
2000 vs. Georgia Tech: The game that never was, but it gave us this:
2002 vs. LSU: I couldn't get tickets to the game, but during halftime, we raided the student lots where the LSU fans had taken over. Got a decent haul of LSU flags and car magnets. Also we BEAT NICK SABAN.
2009 vs. Miami: Took my brother to his first college football game (graduated from GMU). We got hammered before the game and he ended up losing his ticket. We had to scalp another ticket and and then snuck him into our section, where we met the guy who found his ticket (I wasn't mad, it was our fault for losing it). Because of this, we missed the first touchdown and walked in just as Boykin was scoring the second. Even still, my brother said it was the greatest sporting event he had ever attended. We rushed the field afterwards.
2010 ACC Championship vs. FSU: This game made me hate Jimbo Fisher. The game was clearly over and he kept calling timeouts and running plays. Didn't matter, though.
*edited to correct dates.
Virginia Beach is 5 hours and 10 minutes from Blacksburg. And Wilmington NC is 5 hours amd 45 minutes away. I google mapped. Somebody get that boy to the bwach when he takes his official visit.
Or even Facebook....
That's pretty much the trifecta of what most people now do online. That really put things into perspective for me.
Mangus might be used as a kick off specialist. I think his speed might be a huge asset in kicking off Beamerball revival. Or maybe not.
I have to agree on the tight end. Malleck still need to learn how to block better than half-assing it sometime. Or am I confusing him with Eric Martin?
I also think the biggest question is the offensive line. They are clearly going to have to learn the blocking scheme and can they handle it? Can they block on a high level on a consistent basis? That's my biggest concern. I do have high expectation that they will get better. Grimes is a proven winner. I just have questions.
Based on what?
People weren't using Youtube!

Marcus Vick was #2 if I remember correctly, and Kevin Jones was #1... but I'm not 100% sure
