their dt was offsides in the first place, that picked up flag is what started the whole train wreck.

so many new faces at key positions (both tackles, wrs, rbs) we're gonna have our hands full against that bama d.

with our d looking at least on paper stout, and bama themselves losing a lot on offense, august 31 could be a low scoring affair.

Hires like this make you wonder what the plan is in Hooville. I would like to think they won't effect us but if you hire the coaches that will work for your system and players then you can be successful. I can see this working for them.

It could of been called differently, but we should not have been in that position to begin with. Logan should have just sacrificed the 2 points rather than trying to stretch armstrong it out of the endzone.

In all fairness, the play should have been reviewed since his knee was down. But the refs like to suck in bowl games, regardless of who plays. Don't know what it is, but the break between championship weekend and bowl games causes refs to forget what the hell they are doing.

...THAN UVA HAD AT THEIR BOWL GAME

Fisher may have to do a year at prep school.

I'm confident in Tariq. Not confident in Bonner - hopefully he can put on some more pounds and step it up next year.

Love the d line and love Jack! I like RVD and think he'll be good. You're right in saying he didn't live up to the hype but you could still see the speed and tenacity. When he gets the system down and doesn't have to think, he'll do damage. He's only a freshman!

Corners don't concern me at all, especially with Kendall likely making an impact - His cover skills are natural and he's much bigger than Manning. Jarrett is the man!

Not until they win a conference championship in whatever league they want to play in.

....they didn't fire Bill Lazor. I think there is a very real chance that Jon Oliver got confused and fired the wrong coordinator.

the spread offense is bandwagon in college football right now. i don't think we should switch to it just because of a few schools that have had success with it. its flashy and is what gets press, but once defenses learn to defend it, theres not a lot of success. id rather take tried and true and a pro system that has success time and time again and punches defenses in the mouth than a fad like the spread that a few schools run well

IMO, O'Brien is a better coach than London is. It just doesn't make sense to me; unless UVA is telling London "Do it this year, or we already have your replacement hired and in the system!"

With that said, it is a good hire for them. But they still have no chance at beating us. I mean, we are going to Beat Bama, become God, and then destroy UVA yet again.

London hires a coach he could beat, and we may be going after someone that we could't beat (Hamilton). I like our approach better.

Exactly. We need to get back to power football. We've had so many great backs come through Blacksburg (Kevin Jones, Brandon Ore, Lee Suggs, Ryan Williams just to name a few) but I just don't see a back on this roster that can be that kind of player. Hopefully someone can step up next year and be that kind of back, and if I had to bet it's gonna be JC Coleman that does it.
