In the never going to happen, but if I could make things happen I would, Bruce Arians would be a phenomenal hire.

I haven't heard any scuttlebutt one way or another, he makes a lot of sense for a lot of reasons.

I've kinda been expecting Friedgen, Bible or Jim Bollman for a while now.

Too bad he was "Stone Hands" Bonner in the Bowl Game this year. Coming up with either of those picks he dropped would have lowered #hokienation's collective blood pressure. Either way, you're right. He played with a lot more confidence as the season wore on. Holland Fisher is obviously the real deal though. We'll see what happens.

I thought Bonner was really shaky, but as the year progressed he got much better. From the FSU game on he was a pretty reliable player, not a stud in the secondary, but not nearly the liability, I'm really hoping he can step it up and be a better and consistent player next season.

I'm not changing my position on who I want for OC. It's still Ralph Friedgen, I don't expect it to happen but he's still the guy I hope we get.

...named the HC of the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to them interviewing Mike Tomlin due to the Rooney Rule. This will not happen, especially as an OL coach.

Go to the Big East!

Brandon Ore... Haha

Russ Grimm as OL coach is tantilizing, but why would he want to move laterally to be a position coach in college?

And I would accept Jimmy McNulty, but no thanks on John McNulty...I mean, did you SEE the Cardinals QBs this year?!

LA Tech: Sources say that former Western Michigan head coach Bill Cubit will interview for the offensive coordinator job with Skip Holtz.

As a Jets fan, I swear to God if Tony Sparano and his bullshit Sunglasses at Night look show up in Blacksburg I will punch Jim Weaver right in the neck.

Agreed. I think JCC would be a great fit in the slot and as a change-of-pace back, especially with our potential RB corps. next year.

O'Cainspring took a lot of criticism (warranted, no doubt) for the plays they called (overuse of the WR screen knowing the wideouts can't/don't block, running plays off the wrong tackle/guard with the wrong RB, etc.) but more glaring to me is the plays they didn't call. In my recollection, about 75% of the time we ran a jet sweep to Marcus Davis, one of the fastest and definitely the most athletic player on the team, we'd gain at least 8 yards. However, the play was ran maybe once or twice per game, if that. Moreover, often we'd run the play with Dyrell Roberts instead of MD7 and see little to no gain.

I know how the readers of this site and most Hokie fans feel about our current offensive playcallers and hopefully Coach Beamer will make the right changes. Maybe next year with a good blocking WR like DJ Coles on the field, we can run JCC or Demitri Knowles on the Jet Sweep and have success with it.

Oakland Raiders: The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that Oakland is expected to part ways soon with offensive coordinator Greg Knapp.

Think Jaquizz Rogers while he was at Oregon State

This is someone who you were able to beat regularly....why get someone whose scheme you were able to defeat? Go find the people you can't beat and bring them in. That's how you get better.
