He needs to stay. I would question if he even wants to be a quarterback.

I'm proud to be a Hokie and I'm glad you wrote what you did. I went to the Boston College game this year and it too was an ugly OT win. For the most part the Hokie fans were great, except one loud mouth drunkard who was rather harmless. True fans support their teams through thick and thin and I think most Hokies already have that mentality built in.

That'd be awesome!

CFB is NOT planning significant changes in offensive coaching, and he sees the writing on the wall (please be wrong, please be wrong, please be wrong).

Surely the tipping point has been reached, and now even Beamer must realize that staff continuity and loyalty has practical limits???

Bills fans are gonna love the highlight reel of their 1st round pick they show at the draft of him bouncing passes to receivers over and over.

I like where his head's at. Would love to see Bryan Randall on our offensive staff

He had the benefit of a great coach in the development of QBs.

I would draft Mike Glennon before I drafted Logan.

HOKIE NATION!

Best fans ever. Even through all of the "civil wars" we had this year - alumni vs underclassmen, fans that stay the whole game and stand the whole game (the LARGE majority of Hokie Nation) vs fans that leave and throw paper airplanes, negative vs positive fans - we're still the best fans out. I'm proud to be a part of Hokie Nation and always will be.

The season sucked but proudly wearing orange and maroon wherever I go, well that never sucks. Go Hokies!

From Andy Bitter: "Thomas finished the year with 3,500 total yards, breaking the school record of 3,482 he set last year in one fewer game.

Thomas, who had 524 rushing yards, became the first Tech quarterback to lead the Hokies in rushing for the season since Bobby Owens led Tech in 1965 with 526 yards."

He still has a lot of untapped potential and the pros will likely see that. But I hope he returns for one last season. We need an offensive staff that can unleash him and his teammates. With the right coaching and plays, I could easily see him putting up 4,000-yards of offense next season.

Tweedy is the best punt cover player ever in the history of football. I don't have any stats on this and don't know if similar stats even exist, but I know I've never seen one player make so many special teams tackles, ever. It could almost be guaranteed that he would somehow make an impact on every punt, and he did it for many years. He should get picked up by an NFL team just to play gunner.

on whether Shane was the one calling for the "rotation"

We've had fan issues this year with the lack of success on the field, but the majority of fans have been awesome. The couple of games I made it to, fans were in good voice. Aside from ranting against our offensive coaches and a few nut jobs attacking players (or websites posting rude ass videos of one particular player) we have a pretty good fan base. Let's get our loud asses to the Georgia Dome next year and shock Bama.

I thought the replay showed Logan controlling the ball with his knee down on the Rutgers TD. I haven't found another replay that shows it as clearly as it looked on the broadcast but it looks like I'm not the only one with this opinion

If he wants to leave, then let him. He has no business entering the draft after a season like that, and frankly name one game he's really showed up to other than the Miami game last season.

I'd rather him stay, I mean I like the guy and he brings leadership and experience. Besides when used right he is our biggest offensive threat right now.

But if these offensive changes happen and we install a new system, it wouldn't be the end of the world to have a new QB. Leal is a mobile guy which has seemed to work for us in the past. I don't know enough about the team and recruiting to know if there is anyone else who has a chance at taking that spot next year.

I never like bashing the refs. Yeah they made one or two bad calls on us but that's all I really saw. Nothing more than in a typical game. Our offense is what made that game what it was.

Why would you draft him earlier than the 4th rd? He just isn't ready, that simple. He needs lots if work on mechanics and vision. Hopefully we get a much better QB coach next year!!

He's listed as Co-Offensive Coordinator, along with Steve Spurrier's son. His salary is $300K, which is $50K less than what Stiney currently makes. I'd imagine the pay raise, plus the opportunity to run an offense on his own would make it tempting.
