...was a black dude. I learned something today.
They always created chaos when they put on the press, but Seth didn't do it enough due to depth. I hope the team realizes how good they can be if they are all in top shape and have added some muscle. I look at last year's schedule and results and if they get a 3 pointer at the right time in most of the games, they are dancing in March and Seth is still on the bench instead of on the microphone. There is talent there. We need a big, healthy year from Raines. He could be a monster inside if he can stay away from fouls.
Both are capable receivers that will do well next year if our line gives Logan time to throw. Granted...that's a big if.

Also, i blame the lack of mocks on the losses. call me crazy
is the second best thing on the internet. TKP being first, obviously. I love that guy though.
Go to YouTube and watch Deron Washington highlights.......am I looking forward to basketball?
We lose Cory, Marcus, and Dyrell. This is no comparison to what happened last year when we lost Jarrett and Danny. Next year we will have DJ Coles back, and as we've seen Demitri has stepped up too. Also we will likely play Joel Caleb coming in who I suspect will be huge. Marcus Davis is lazy and can't catch, and Dyrell is good, but not what we thought he could've been. The only player I truly feel like I am going to miss is Cory Fuller (who saw that coming?).
Losing doesn't suit me. But, 2012 has me at the tailors....

I've been reading the Key Play for years now. Finally decided to join. Thanks for all of the great content.
I will be disappointed for a few minutes and go about my life. I refuse to let a football game ruin my weekend (and time with my kids). There was a time where I'd be pissed about a loss for a couple of days after a loss. There are more important things in life.
I may, however, let it piss me off again Sunday afternoon when I have to spend time with my MIL's family...just so they don't try to engage me in conversation.
drink heavily.
And then be right back hoping we can pull out the win next week.
I was doing so good until last week. Lets turn it around this week.
1. Texas - my friend is a UT grad, so I'm being forced to go to a bar at noon so we can watch both the Horns and the Hokies.
2. K-State
3. Stanford
4. Trojans
5. USC - The Ol Ball Coach is hot right now
6. La Tech
Beer of the week - as always, ice cold Miller Lite. It's triple hops brewed, and comes in either a vortex bottle or punch top can. Both greatly enhance the drinking experience.
You win this week.

and how bad do you think "tha U" is gonna get pounded my the ncaa
and i understand your point 100%, i dont really think it will happen but i think it can happen. the thing i actually think will happen is beating either fsu or clemson in the regular season. also wasnt saying you were being negative. more speaking about those who are all about the doom and gloom right now. and saying the season is a total loss
The inability to run the football allowed UNC to control the ebb and flow of the game. 34 points is a great number, but that isn't a formula for this being a winning team. UNC's secondary was very shakey, and I doubt that so many slants will be open against a team that has good athletes that can take away those routes under the zone.
There was a ton of uncalled holding, but that is when you as a defensive lineman have to keep running and force him to pull you down.
I am a big slow guy, and I, in my old age, play in a flag football league in DC. For the most part, I play offensive line, but every now and then I am forced to play defensive line. Now, I would be lucky to run a sub 8 second 40 and I could play contain perfectly and still lose it if the QB has a modicum of athleticism. So, every play or two, I do a hard rip technique in an effort to get underneath the tackles arms. Then (because even if I do it perfectly, I am too slow to get to the QB) I keep the motion of the rip to hook both of the blockers arms, and I keep running upfield screaming that I am being held, even though I have the blocker's arms trapped. As absurd as it sounds, I have probably drawn 15 holding calls in 3 years doing this nonsense.
You may say "well, that is flag." Well, the games are different, but good football players can either beat holds, or draw calls. We are doing neither. If they use their hands, they can beat the holds OR create the angles to draw holding calls.
*Or, if nobody is calling holding, perhaps the Hokie OL should try it. I can't recall the line getting many, if any, holding calls this year.

There were 17 games that were decided by 4 points or less last year with most of them being losses. Not having Dorenzo(inconsistent) and Victor D (hands of stone) and FDS (0 for 20 something?) back, plus lack of bench may help the remaining crew with confidence knowing that they won't be jerked out quickly if they make a mistake. They should all get plenty of minutes, but Green needs to sit some so he has the energy at the end win some games.
