The actions of one perverted individual should not result in the death penalty. Of course Joe Pa, the A.D. and anyone else who might have known should have done more, but this is an entirely different scandal than those of SMU, Miami.
The culprits have already been dealt with and the school still has to deal with the embarrassment associated with this. That's punishment enough.
Asking the NCAA to deal with this is a horrible idea.

Guys, everybody knows the rules of college football fandom: if a team beats you for the first time(s) in like 14 years than we're not allowed to make fun of them in any way. Just like I'm sure tigerjim has nothing but admiration and respect for the Cocks, we too should have nothing but reverence for our new purple clad overlords.
Also the notion that the transitive property in algebra totally works in college football is completely accurate and logical! It makes sense since Clemson beat us by 28 and then lost their next game by 37 then we would of course lost to the couchburners by 65! Imagine the shame!

The VA win was ultra sweet, even in the rain! I think I still have the front page of the Roanoke Times filed away somewhere from the day after. They had a picture taken from a plane of a (still-unfinished) packed Lane Stadium. It was a great day to be a Hokie!

Nice to see we are on solid financial footing desptie the lack of state support. If the state contributed anything towards athletic facilities think how much farther ahead we would be. But at the same time we would be subject to political pressures.
Our situation should be factored into any financial discussion about the health of the ACC. It should give us more weight to throw around because it makes us attractive to any conference.

It's possible. I prefer the Homestead over the Greenbrier, but I doubt reporters would risk all of the diseases in WV just to peek in on the meeting.

You can also use these on Droids with a little resizing if you don't mind it not being totally centered. Obviously this is really only possible with the wallpapers that don't have logos. I have the plaid background on my Droid and, although I did it a while ago and can't totally remember, I think I just saved the picture and resized it to fit my screen. I get lots of compliments.

You may think you did just fine, but let's talk again in 5 years when you haven't finished above 3rd in the conference.
I agree, and, as you somewhat mention, you can't blame the school. UNC, like all D1 schools, is just too big to effectively monitor all academic and athletic decisions. Sometimes you need to assume that you have picked the right people that will make the right (and ethical) decisions. Unfortunately, as is the case here, one person can bend the rules and almost everybody else will turn their head (consciously or unconsciously) because they believe in the school and the people who run it.
I'm confident that it will be turned around after appropriate punishments to the right people - best move now is to do that internally before the NCAA pokes around and creates another martyr.

We are super thin at corner. Hopefully the freshmen can step up and play, because we're going to need it. If we don't get solid play out of them, we lose out on a lot of blitzing opportunities. I think we can have a special defense this year, but we absolutely need our secondary to step up in a big way and avoid any sort of injury. *knocks on wood*
