Literally half the teams I used to play would be Oregon or Alabama. And honestly, playing against those teams is just ridiculous. With alabama is the calll a run up the middle and press forward for 6 yards every play or with oregon, run four verticals and just wait for your tighend to outrun the opponents corners. I just started backing out against those players. No point in playing either of those teams.
I LOVE the NCAA series, but EA as a whole seems to really be churning out below average games these days. With the exception of Fifa, all the the games seem to be just minor tweaks and updates of previous years' versions. NCAA and NHL are probably the two games I play the most, and they seem to be the best examples of year by year tweaks without too much actual new and interesting stuff to keep you playing. My NCAA playing definitely falls off after the college season is over mainly because its the college game itself that keeps me interested in NCAA. Standing alone, the game really isnt worth the 60 bucks year in and year out based on the updates made from year to year. And the biggest part that big time college fans enjoy the most are the rosters, and even the default rosters are usually EXTREMELY off target.
they have the best cheer in all of sports
I love it when I'm playing online and when my opponent sees I'm staying with Tech they switch from mediocre to good team they probably root for to some elite team like Bama or Oregon immediately.
Don't know why but I've never really been a huge fan of Madden. I guess because I started playing NCAA first... But I will still occasionally buy the Madden games if I want to do Superstar mode with a player from the NCAA games.
The only reason I get it year after year is because of my love for the college game and the fact that we get new players that just fall right into place like LT3. He was way underrated in NCAA 12 (understandably because he hadn't started a whole season before) but that's why I'm getting it.
However, I'm hoping and praying that these commentary previews are not finalized and that they will smooth out the cuts and maybe introduce new lines for Nessler and Herbstriet.
What they really should do is use multiple commentary crews. Heaven forbid EA should spend more in production of the game, but I would love to see them do that. They could have Rece, Jesse, and Craig for Thursday nighters, Blackledge and Nessler together, and then Herbstriet and Musberger. Frankly, I'm SHOCKED that they haven't enlisted Musberger to come in and work on a game. His voice talent would be much better and would be more cohesive with Herbstriet because they actually commentate together.
This is why EA was rated the worst company in America. They establish their base of buyers and create a monopoly. Then they coast.
Has stars in its eyes. They are thinking bowl games and TV coverage. Not happening any time soon. This may be a big financial mistake and at best it is a big risk. This affects more than just football. All sports will have to travel extensively. Not sure they can absorb all the addtional costs without raising fees or prices.
Stadium holds 19,818 but not much room to expand, especially considering limited parking availability.
I guess someone thinks it can work.
I wonder how the FSU faculty feels about moving to a league with the academic standards of WVU and leaving behind the likes of Duke and Wake
Didnt see that coming, as an alum of JMU (former Bburg townie) I gotta say I'm jealous.

Looks like ECU finally has a conference game thats not at least a 12 hour drive
NCAA for me is just to hold me over until madden comes out and then I trade it back in for like 40 bucks. So I never complain too much unless it's something that makes the game unplayable like the online dynasties completely breaking last year.
I used to buy it every year but haven't for the past couple of seasons. Recycled commentary, minor gameplay tweaks, and largely cosmetic additions. At it's core it's still a pretty good game, but it just seems to have become stagnant. I guess the lack of competition could be to blame.
I know they're adding a lot more school specific pre-game festivities but I'm guessing we'll never see "enter sandman" due to the licensing.
hearing something about one or more Pixar animators being VT grads.
an example of product placement? Did Tech pay for its appearance?
I don't think he would be a good fit at all in Greenberg's system but it's hard to say what we'll see moving forward. I think offensive philosophy/system is the biggest question mark heading into Coach Johnson's tenure anyway.
Money, bowls, at-large bids, tv coverage, are all determined by brand-name popularity and not a "fair" contest of performance on the field. Kind of like money in politics. This is why I like the tournaments for all the other divisions of NCAA football.
Do the times Miami and VT were in the Big East count? It still looks bad for the ACC only having 2 opportunities in the last 10 years.
Is being a victim of the Alabama Football Industrial Complex. He knows he'll never beat AJ McCarron outright and will probably be passed by another 5* his senior year. This move reeks of entitlement and he couldn't go to a better school for that. Here's to another 2 years of Rocco at QB and London lying to Tidewater players.
I haven't read any college football article or blog post from ESPN in nearly two years other than the extremely dumb ones that people post on twitter.
I have way less headaches now. lol
We have needed a pure jump shooter for a long time. He is small which might hurt on the defensive side a little. Steph Curry was small though not that I am saying he is Steph Curry, but glad the mindset is changing. Greenberg loved the midsized athletes who lack shooting, so I think this is a step in the right direction.
HD just hyperlinks Andy Bitter's (a very good VT journalist) articles
I stopped reading it it got so bad. At least HD adds some backhanded compliments into her writing to make it interesting and spark up some coversation. The rest of these folks look like that tke about 2 minutes to write and proofread each entry.
a tweet earlier today from David Teel that Weaver said that those series were safe for now fwiw

Watching that made me want to go to the bathroom
