I feel like this game is going to define the rest of the season for us. Either we're going to come out and show some heart and enthusiasm, or we're going to roll over and UNC is going to embarrass us. I'm not even concerned with whether we win or lose, as much as I am that we have a chance to win at the end. If these kids can rebound from a terrible start to ACC play and play like a motivated team that will tell us which direction the program is headed in.
I think we'll land all 3. But it would be nice to have had them locked up earlier. Put alot of us at ease.
Most players sign some sort of apparel deal but, its not a million dollar deal and once again you have to account for others (like your agent and the IRS) who have their hands in the cookie jar
That and we'd have all off-season to prepare for that stupid offensive scheme
his Nike sponsorship? Because I remember he signed with them last year and it was contingent on how high he went/performed.

But come by the Shelor Motor Mile. We have some easily transferable parts out of an '08 Buick sub 67k miles.
Anyone know of any good Lamborghini mechanics in Blacksburg?
Richmond beat Duke the same day IIRC.
Ryan Williams was the 6th pick in the 2nd round last year (DW should be a similar pick). RW signed a 4 yr 5 million contract. The 1st year of that contract breaks down as follows:
Base Salary = 350k
Signing bonus = 535,442
Total 2011 compensation =910,442
Of the 5 million Im not sure how much is guaranteed outside of the 2.1 million signing bonus (paid in annual installments)
The 910k RW made in 2011 does not take into account taxes, his agent's cut, any money fronted him by his agent, etc. So, taking a guess here, RW'S take home was likely around 50% in 2011, around 500K. With that in mind, DW just spent aywhere from a quarter to half his 2012 take home pay on a car
Has been in the possession of the hokies (proudly) for 2610 days.
Williams ran the piss out of the Tar Heels this week and they are too tired to put it on us like Ike Turner.
Doubt that will be the case after getting schmooooked by Free Shoes on Saturday...
The staff has been working their asses off. Beamer and Foster were up visiting Ekanem on Tuesday and have been going around the region since they've gotten back from the national coaching convention in San Antonio. At the end of the day, they're kids, so who knows.
I'm not sure where else to comment about David Wilson's Lamborghini..
but if he did really buy that car I'm kind of disappointed. He might fall right in line with all the other athletes out there who go out there and blow money without a care in the world. I sure hope DW makes it in the NFL..
Not because he dosen't have the money already or because he dosen't deserve it, but a couple observations:
1. Pics outside the car parked in a crowded lot. (not the most scenic spot to announce your new italian exotic to the world) For Christ's sake, there is a minivan taking up half of the pic.
2. No interior shot, not even a shot with the door open.
3. So he has already gotten his smart-tag and installed it (look next to the rear view mirror). Where has he needed a smart-tag? Not from Danville to B'Burg.
I could definately be wrong but it wouldn't suprise me if he saw this car in a parking lot and tried to play a joke on everyone. I see him more as a large luxury sendan type of guy anyways (Bently, Merc S-Class, BMW 7 series, etc). There is no place to install a big system in the Lambo.
But I wouldn't leave that parked on campus very long. I know what college students are like.
Needs to be a balance so creative people don't get ripped off and any of us get plagiarized. Electronic media makes it easy to go too far. I think some software gurus could develop some apps to make sure those creating content get proper attribution (and compensation where appropriate).
Drive by and wave in his new whip! Don't stop to talk.
They don't prefer to play anyone respectable opening week.
Nerf, thanks for posting this. I remember reading about it when it happened and was appalled. I'm glad you followed up with a way we can help out.
What hokiez2013 said, he probably got a large cash advance from his agent. Some people are mad at him, I don't know why. He's a smart kid. If something unfortunate were to happen to cut his career short he'd have his brain to fall back on. If I had that cash, I wouldn't have bought something that lavish, but it's his choice. He worked hard to be where he's at.
the minute they sign with an agent, they take out insurance policies and can accept crazy amounts of benefits.
Yes, that was a good day.
what is caking up?

David Wilson just confirmed via Twitter it was just a rental. As mentioned, he is IN FACT a smart kid. best of luck to him.
