This should be a blowout. These next two weeks should be about getting healthy, building depth, and getting confidence/consistency all around.
I saw a lot of positive from the offense, execution-wise, but I noticed the change in scheme disheartening. The zone read out of shotgun is insane with LT3 and DW. Adding in some extra flavor to it as you mentioned should make it absolutely lethal. I don't understand why we left it after it had been so effective against Miami. I guess I'll never know what goes through our play caller's head.

Yeah, there's one guy (efitz11, also a mod of /r/vt) who like to post a lot of the articles and shops to /r/virginiatech. I just happen to spend more time in /r/cfb and felt bad posting other people's content if they're around to do it themselves, like HokieV's BCS primer.
Apart from the occasional SEC circle-jerk, it's a pretty great community of level-headed people and tends to stay away from the crap you see on Rivals forums. They even set up their own weekly top 25: rcfbpoll.com Check it out.
That Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness is fucking awesome, btw.
I've seen some our stuff on /r/virginiatech so maybe there are some other lurkers about? (If so register for an account and join everyone here please!)
Happy to have you here!
My strategy of picking the team I want to lose for the most part is a good one. The only wrench is thrown in when there are huge spreads involved. Do I think Stanford is going to beat the Washington puppies by 21? Maybe, but even if I get the pick wrong it doesn't mean Udub pulled off a huge upset. But in any case I will hopefully curse a few of the below teams by picking them to win this weekend!
OK State I think I have picked them every week. Hopefully they will prove me wrong soon!
The Other Tech (Georgia) The game I am most worried about left on our schedule is at GT on a Thurs night. Therefore I will be rooting for as many losses for them as possible!
LSU They will be missing more starters for this game because of bad behavior. I would love to see Aubie to crush their Nat'l Championship dreams!
UND I just love to see the Domers lose, but same goes for USC... This was a tough one.
The Cardinal I'm tired of the Andrew Luck ball licking. I think its about time that it stops!
The Fighting Russel Wilsons! I actually like that NC State fans get more infurated with each Russel Wilson for Heisman conversation, but they are ranked higher than us so time for them to lose!
absolutely stunned that Chris Hill and Tariq Edwards are above Hopkins. Hopkins has been their best defensive player not named Bruce Taylor this season.

Most amazing line yet.

That is an excellent question. I can't think of the last time that Bud Foster played a traditional sized 260 pound defensive end, and I am not sure if they project that Marshall can get bigger without losing some of his quickness and power. Collins, Gayle, and Derrick Hopkins all have two more years of eligibility, and McCray is a legitimate talent (plus they have a top caliber defense end prospect from Georgia coming next year.) I would assume he stays at tackle, and he could be special there if he can get big enough to handle a top notch straight ahead OL and running game.
Dont trust these by all means . I also hate big spreads.
Ok State --hope they Mizzout in the SEC
Miami -- record speaks for itself. I dont know what they do for this game but Miami's atheleticism stymies CPJ.
Auburn -- two key defensive guys out AND 23 point spread? nuh uh
Trojans -- points only. USC can shine at times, just look at the Cal game. ND will win.
Washington -- I hope they dont get curbstomped by the Cardinal
Michigan St -- Offense is meh but this is the best D Wisky has played.
BoTW: Paulener Oktoberfest Marzen. its still October.
OK State
Miami - If UVA figured out how to stop CPJ's offense then I would hope Miami would do the same.
LSU even with that spread. Les Miles is goddamn diabolical.
Trojans bc I think that final score will be 4-6 or something similar.
Stanford although I keep waiting for Luck's season-ending "this is what you get for being a dumbass and not leaving for the nfl last year" injury. Maybe not this week.
Badgers - All Russell Wilson Everything
I either want to be in first place or last place. Boom.

my theory? I think LT3 might have been a little banged up, so they limited his carries and went back to their base offense. That doesn't mean I liked it.
His throwing arm sure didn't look hurt. The deep incompletion in the 1st quarter to Danny Coale was a freakish throw.
