I'm going with Oklahoma State, Missouri (to cover points at worst), Mississippi State (aren't you tired of Auburn winning games they have no business winning?), Alabama (by a significant margin), ECU (points, but not win), and finally, USC (because Robert Woods can put the team on his back, and Marc Tyler returns).

Also I'd venture to say Arizona State does have the most talent in the country. Also one line i love is that TCU is only 2 point favorite against Air Force. I really like South Carolina -3 at Georgia too.

I like Miss State to win, but I don't think they'll cover. I'm probably a fool for thinking Auburn will bounce back.
If Alabama wins by a margin less than three scores I'll be shocked.
Even if ECU has some success offensively against the Hokies their newly installed 3-4 doesn't seem capable of stopping DW4 and company. Greenville will be hostile but the Hokies will cover.
Utah - USC has talent, limited depth and Lane Kiffin, good, bad and worse. I'll take the Utes and the points.
*No comment because as of right now I don't know a damn thing about either of these teams.
The saddest billboard in the world.

I won't let this happen to my bourbon on Saturday.
i burnt half my back yard down in a light smoldering fire. stupid zoysia, done gone dry and dormant in the winter.
a quick turn around. i hope this effort was better than than the one tech did vs jmu last yr, but i am not so sure, since joe didn't have to edit anything for being to inappropriate.
bbq note:
@briancolligan who lives down in greenville, swears Skylight Inn in Ayden for Pete Jones' cue is better. Ayden is 15 mins further south or so.
beer note:
couple of relatively local beers down there as well, mother earth and duck rabbit. both worthy of trying out.

"We want to get married on the ocean!"
Oklahoma State - Justin Blackmon's a bad, bad man. Arizona couldn't stop prolific offenses last year. Real question is: which conference realignment scenario (PAC 12 or $EC) for the Pokes will be discussed more?
Arizona State - Dennis Erickson's bunch will eventually fall victim to their own hype, but not this early in the season. I think they'll stay in the PAC 12 race well into November.
Mississippi State - Will we we surprised if the Bulldogs run the Tigers off the field? Not really. But I don't think any of us would be surprised if Chiznik gets his ducks in a row and Auburn dominates.
Alabama - Kerry Collins AND Michael Robinson could be lining up in the backfield for JoePa and it still would get handled by the Tide.
East Carolina - I think the Hokies will win, and they'll do it with ball control. Might see OglesBEAST go over 100 yards with Wilson. But I don't see a completely dominant performance. Dominque Davis has enough familiarity with our D that he'll keep the Pirates close.
Utah - Which USC team shows up: the team that dominated the Golden Gophers in the first half? or the team that struggled to pick up first downs in the second half of their opener? Even if SC plays a complete game, still think the Utes are simply the better team.
I'd put that up there with Prothro's blind catch-of-the-year.

Booze: Yuengling for the early games, Maker's for the Hokies, back to Yuengling for the late games.

Just my observation from limited highlights. After reviewing again I guess it wasn't so bad. Coale did make many blocks downfield to help with big gains. But I also saw times when there were guys standing around, after making an initial block, when the play was still alive and DW was still going. It wasn't always the receivers. Maybe they were in awe of DW and forgot to keep playing until the whistle blew as they watched him fly by.
DW knows how to use his blockers. He doesn't outrun them unless there is no one left between him and the end zone. He will slow down to allow his guy in front to hit someone. They don't always do that. I guess that is what I noticed. There were a very few opportunities for someone to make a block but they were kind of standing there wondering what to do or if they should do something. Maybe they didn't know DW was right behind them.
I hope to feel this good all the way through January.

Maybe one day I'll learn photoshop so these don't suck

What did you think of the backups? Does Wang look good enough to take some playing time from Nosal? Would things completely fall apart if Miller went down and Farris had to step in? Is Painter going to be someone we can count on next year, or in an injury situation?
