At 254 lbs, a conservative estimate of 12% bodyfat would put him at a lean mass of 224 lbs. Studies of Div-1 offensive lineman have shown that they average 25% bodyfat...slap that much fat onto Logan and you have a 6'6" 298 lineman. Basically he is what you would have if an OL got lipo. The kid is a beast.

I played HS football and was listed as 6' 190# when I was actually 5'10" 175 at best.

I think it's too high, for right now at least, especially after the DeChristopher and Nosal news. We get whooped by Stanford, lose the winning-est quarterback in Tech history and ACC player of the year, our top two backs and we finish higher than we ended last season. I'm as optimistic as anyone because of the schedule, and Foster's ability to a broken defense.

You have to believe the high rank is a function of the coaches voting us high because of the schedule.

I think it sounds about right. We'd have to blow a game we should win to drop below that. I think even disappointment in the ACCCG and bowl game would still keep us in the top 15.

High school numbers are nearly always inflated to intimidate the other team and to encourage recruiters that take a look at the roster. This explains all the "shrinking" freshmen. I'm sure McCray's height difference is just human error, which is easy to do when the numbers are rounded like this... the difference between 6'4.4" and 6'4.5" is very small.

About a third of the freshman got shorter!

O line has a lot of height and weight. I hope that translates to success.

I'm a huge fan of the all maroon helmet, jersey, pants....

I love the blackout, just wish it were maroon and black not orange n black... It's not hollaween, it's football

Definitely with this uni. If we win a NC in it then I would approve. I think the mannequin would make any uni look good.

I am assuming it is good weight. From everything I have read and heard, most of the players hung around this summer in the weight room. If Becton did, it should be good weight.

I thought almost the exact same thing. It went through my mind "man, Tyrod would have some big boys to look over. Thank God Logan is a monster!"

Look at the average height of our guards and tackles. Its like 6'3''-4'' With some as tall as 6'7''. With LT being all of 6'6'' There is definite advanatge in the pocket to get a glimpse of coverage from the snap.

I'm stoked about Lanier, but Becton at 326... that's a big boy right there. I have no clue whether or not it's good or bad weight, but it just seems like an awful big jump. Then again practice starts today so we can wait and see.

A few thoughts... I like that Zack McCray is putting on some weight. That seemed to be a concern last year at this time. The size of the offensive line is impressive. Becton, Lanier and Nosal should look a lot bigger this year, which hopefully helps durability. Also, J.R. Collins should be able to get to the QB quicker after cutting 13 pounds!!

Yeah dude those are legit. so many people would buy those

but they looked good in the all white uni. Throw in the old school helmet styles and we would be all good.

1. RMFW. Chance to break it every time he touched it.
1b. Suggs. Just a beast. 27 td in a season?!
2. KJ
3. Evans. I know it was Maryland, but 253 yards?!!!
4. Ore.

With these helmets.

Think the pic of Bruce in the banner at the top with orange pants.
At least they didn't put orange socks in there. That is going WAY too far.

Not sure how I feel about being the Oregon of the East, but this combo doesn't bother me that much.

I'm a fan. I like Orange as our color. Maroon seems kind of soft to me. People say Orange in unoriginal in the ACC, but the Maroon we wear is too close to BC, FSU, and 2-3 SEC teams' main colors. Burnt Orange stands far apart enough from UVA and Clemson for me to like it. Just flashy enough to make us look good. I'm all for the pants.
