I think we've all got to let Franklin do what he wants and see how the season goes before passing any judgement.
He's easily the most qualified coach Virginia Tech has ever hired. That being said, I'm expecting a quick turnaround.
I'm good with only one dumb throw per game vs only one good throw per game....
I think we're more likely to see the ACC move a conference game into week one to make a splash.
Also, I never trust any of the non-conference game dates until either our full schedule has been announced, the other team's conference announces their schedule (because the ACC is always last), or it's a special game (usually neutral site).

Their OL was almost as bad as ours so it's tough to get a good feel for his ceiling. He was also good for a really dumb throw at least once a game.

QB Raiola in the portal out of Nebraska. Had season ending broken fibula in November so curious what his market ends up being. Nine games 2000 yards but 72% completion percentage. Never watched Nebraska so no idea if it was just check down central or what. I guess his brother decommitting was a sign.
And he'll get to work with his son! It's a win-win for him.

Holmon Wiggins is the new OC at A&M. Has been the co-OC but Collin Klein was playcaller.
We obsess over a lot, but elite QB play trumps most everything else. Dabo is considered one of the most successful coaches in all of college football in recent years, and he won his championships with Watson and Lawrence, two heisman-caliber QBs. Everything else mattered, but those 2 mattered more than the rest. His teams have made it to the playoffs with good-but-not-elite QBs and haven't sniffed a title. Without those elite QBs, not championships for Dabo.
Lamar Jackson elevated Louisville to a top 5 team for 2 years, then they went back to being good but not great.
Hell the same thing happened to us with Vick and then again to a lesser degree with Tyrod.
If Justin Fuente had Lamar Jackson instead of Josh Jackson he's probably still our coach based on how much he would have won for those couple of years
