Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.
With Notre Dame sitting in a playoff spot, it got me thinking:
-Do they have an agreement with the ACC for sharing bowl revenue? (Will VT benefit from them making bank?)
-Does that affect or leverage them joining full time, either way?
I'll hang up and listen.

The Joe Moore Foundation for Teamwork announced today 20 Semi-Finalists for the 2015 Joe Moore Award, given to the top offensive line unit in college football.
The Joe Moore Award units are judged solely on six (6) criteria: Toughness, Effort, Teamwork, Physicality, Tone Setting, and Finishing. Evaluations are made primarily through review of actual game film and, as there are no current statistics that support the award criteria directly, statistics are provided merely as a point of reference.

Since VT's 1995 breakthrough season, Tech has been an underdog in Lane Stadium just 9 times. Saturday's game will make the 10th time as #17 UNC is currently a 5 to 6 point favorite (depending on where you look). Tech has generally performed well in this spot over the past 2 decades. Here are the past occasions:

I know this is (very) old, but it is worth revisiting this week as we give our thanks.

But most of all, I realized how much I loved Virginia Tech. I loved the people at Virginia Tech and the relationships we had developed over the years. I loved the town of Blacksburg. I knew that was -- and always would be -- my home. I realized there was no other place I would rather be.

For the past ten years, part of our annual pilgrimage to attend a game has been to stay at The Hotel Roanoke. Since the team stays there the night before its home games, it adds to the sense of excitement to see the buses roll in, and to see the coaches and players filing in as we cheer them on.

Welcome to week 12. Going to be filled to be brim for Frank. Be loud, give Frank his proper send off. There will be tears, I'm sure ... that's a good and worthy thing. I expect it will take some time for Frank and the players to leave the field Saturday. Soak it all in.
Go Hokies. Thank you Frank.

I figure this weekend will be full of ex football players coming to the game to watch Beamer coach his last game in Lane.
I know Kyle Bailey put pressure on MV7, since the Steelers are on a bye this week.
Also saw Andre Davis tweet this....

We've heard enough about #sauces and the top candidates. How about a list of the least likely candidates for VT's next Head Whistle.
I'll start...Steve Spurrier (I couldn't resist including the shot at Klempsun)

The article actually has some interesting facts but also serves as just another ode to CFB. The article is linked below...

From the Barefoot brothers in 1988 to the Vicks, the Fullers, the Edmundses and everyone in between, Beamer has coached 25 sets of brothers during his 29 seasons at Virginia Tech, a tribute to Beamer as a coach and person that speaks more about him than the wins and losses.

Take it for what you will, I heard it on Huddle Pass this morning, they reported a reputable inside #sauce listed the top 3 on the current short list for the Virginia Tech job:
- 3. Chad Morris
- 2. Rich Rodriguez
- 1. Justin Fuente - #sauces claimed Fuente was the clubhouse favorite by far
Also listed Tom Herman is heavily rumored to be named the next USC-e Head Coach.
#Sauce reiterated to Huddle Pass that, its the current short list, and lists could adapt to the ever changing carousel landscape.
Take it for what you will but, Sean Glennon and Cory Holt on Huddle Pass do have connections with the program that I do not.

Was checking www.coachingsearch.com ticker to see if there was any other leakage on our situation, and saw this nugget about Les Miles:
LSU: Scott Rabalais of The Advocate writes that there are "strong indications" Les Miles could be coaching for his job against Ole Miss and Texas A&M in the next two weeks, with Rabalais adding, "25 years of covering LSU, cultivating a variety of knowledgeable sources, have led this writer to believe that there is a serious threat to Miles' tenure here." LSU was ranked No. 2 10 days ago.
If this were the case, it would mean that Les Miles would be available out there for grabs. Just a thought.

There are eight possible broadcast windows for the VT@UVA game to air on November 28. Either at noon or 3:30 on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU.
Looking at the overall schedule, there are two other games with the same flexible timeslot -- Georgia at GT and UNC at NC State.
Here are the other games that can fill in those slots:
-Ohio State at Michigan, noon, ABC or ESPN
-Clemson at SC, noon, ESPN or ESPN2
-Northwestern vs. Illinois, 3:30, ESPN2 or ESPNU
-Penn State at Michigan State, 3:30, ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2 (likely a reverse mirror)
That's only seven games.

Virginia Tech: Sources tell FootballScoop that Whit Babcock considers Larry Fedora a strong candidate at Virginia Tech. We are also of the understanding that Rich Rodriguez will not be a candidate for this position.

Listed out many reasons on why we are here. Only USC is better, but considering we aren't going to overlap our search I think it's pretty obvious we are going to have our pick of the litter.
