Antone Exum Intercepted Jameis Winston
With an INT for the Vikings. DBU representing! Hopefully he and Kyshoen both make the 53 man squads.
Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.

Looking ok so far 2-3 for 2 first downs, and a great show of strength to avoid going down or getting sandwiched by DE's and throw it away.
Let me start off by saying I was completely unprepared today. I didn't bring any paper with me so I ended up jotting notes in the margins of my most recent follow-up from the Doctor. Because of that, I don't really know when a lot of these plays happened, instead I will just talk about the 1 Offense vs 2 Defense, 3 Offense vs 3 defense, etc. First for some injuries. Some of the noteworthy injuries were Nicholas with the hand injury, Wade Hansen was in a boot, Dooley didn't play and neither did Cam Phillips. The format of the scrimmage was typical for VT. They mixed things up each drive with matchups and started the offense at different places on the field.
1st Offense Vs 1st Defense:
Hi everyone, I went to Media Day with Alex and Kevin today to take some photos and video, you can check out the full gallery here: http://photos.thekeyplay.com/2015-Virginia-Tech-Football/Media-Day-and-F...
By far my favorite face of the day:
Alex Koma, Kevin Weiss, and Mark Umansky are on site providing coverage of media day. For those of you who don't have twitter and are not following them, here are some of the stories that are coming out that they will be providing more detail on later.
I'm sorry Joe, wanted to PM you on this and couldn't figure it out. Will there be a TKP tailgate?
VT Football staff are going to periscope the players interviews on media day starting at 9:40. If your not familiar with periscope it is an app where anyone can turn on their camera one smart phone and show anyone else with the app what they are filming live.
Rex Ryan has named him the starter for next week after a sharp game against the panthers

This is dope and very interesting. The guy is 77-17 I believe at this HS. I can see Beamer instituting this system. This vid is on On Sides KO's but they rarely punt either. He is sharp!

Copy and paste to your browser if the url does not take. Well worth it. It was 29-0 in the fist qtr. and the opposition has not run an offensive play.
Teaser: You need to come to the TKP Happy Hour to get detailed thoughts.
Steven Peoples is really showing me something as a blocker. Super physical, great hand placement and aiming points. He dictates where the defensive player is going.
Shai McKenzie broke a linebacker's ankles on a pass route. Not carrying the ball... a pass route. That was nasty. Travon McMillian also looks very fluid in passing.
Running backs over all looked very sound and physical in pass blocking drills against the linebackers. Peoples almost knocked Ronny Vandyke into the camera.
Do you think that he becomes the "Wild Turkey" QB this season? Motley did well last year, but I'm thinking that you want to keep your backup healthy for some insurance at the QB position.
I could also see Durkin really doing well in that role with his size and athletic ability.
With the offseason fast approaching its end, I thought we could have a thread about how we think our schedule is going to go down. I'm highlighting my predicted score and win/loss, but feel free to add anything else!
There are a lot of question marks this season regarding the offense, but assuming no injuries and a moderate level of improvement from last year, here are my predictions:
1. Ohio State- L- 17-28. We're improved but so has OSU. Even with suspensions I think Urban will pull off the revenge victory, but it won't be a blowout. They're just too stacked.
2. Furman- W - 33-3
David Hale, one of my more preferred writers over at the big 4-letter word, just posted his 2015 preview for Hokies football. The highlights:
His best-case scenario has the Hokies making a run at a playoff berth. Even more surprising, his worst-case scenario has VT as an 8-win team.
I would love to see a 9-win season, but I'm surprised at the threshold Hale set, as we have seen the past 3 seasons with good talent but not great production. All in all, I like Hale's review. He also lists Tim Settle and Chuck Clark as players to watch this season.
Gonna be a tough year for the Hoos. Again!

well, that Nike $169 million deal for 15 years deal morphed into a history-making situation as Michigan becomes the first football program to wear the Jordan brand: Link
Pretty good write up (except one comment from McKenzie Alexander).

The biggest thing that stood out today was Wade Hansen's absence. It appeared that Parker Osterloh was taking first team repetitions at right tackle, with Redman working with the second group. Osterloh got plenty of camera time. He has good reach in pass protection, yet he really needs to work on his bend and lower body strength.
As for Hansen, he was spotted in an opening clip of the offense huddled with Coach Loeffler. I have not been any reports on his status. Perhaps he got a little dinged up and needed some maintenance. With offensive tackle depth being a big concern, it merits watching.
