It's been a very normal Monday afternoon of me browsing Hokiesports.com, and I always find the season stats interesting and very telling of how the season has been. These are just a few of the things I found intriguing:
We are actually ok at free throws this year
Not only are we shooting as well as our opponents at 67 percent, but look at just HOW MANY free throws we've attempted! There have been multiple ACC games in which we have shot 30+ from the line, and it's good to know we can make them, and that guys like Seth Allen (72%) and Zach LeDay (77%) can make them in the clutch.

This Weekend:
Notre Dame beats #9 Duke as a 9 point underdog
Clemson beats #8 Miami as a 5 point underdog
Virginia Tech beats Georgia Tech as a 7.5 point underdog
Florida State beats #13 UVA as a 3.5 point underdog.
If you want to toss in Syracuse beating Wake Forest as a small underdog, and you have 5 upsets in the weekend!
This was only the 2nd home loss for Duke in the last 4 years! What happened? Giving up 95 points in Cameron Indoor?
Where did this Clemson come from? Is this the same Clemson that got blown out by UMass, Georgia and lost to a really bad Minnesota team in the non conference? Now they beat 3 ranked teams IN A ROW?

The game was Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar (Delaney's team) vs. Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul. The link to the replay on WatchESPN is here(free to watch). Both teams are supposed to be quite good for Euroleague, take a look if you're curious about what basketball over there is like.

Ticket books are available for all sessions of the ACC tournament, to be held at the Verizon Center in DC.
Question...
Is it like one ticket that is scannable for all sessions, so you need that ticket to get in each day (similar to the Masters pass good for all week.) Or does it come with individual tickets for each session, just in book form?

Buddy Hield had 46 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in a triple overtime loss to Kansas last night. After being interviewed by Scott Van Pelt, some Kansas fans applauded him as he walked off the court.
UVA has been a consistent NCAA tournament team & top 4 team in the ACC for the past few years, while we've been either last or tied for last in the ACC for the past 4 years. But aside from the 2013 game, look at how tight all of these ball games have been. 3 points, 2 points, 4 points, 3 points...It's a classic 'throw out the record' game.

Someone sent me a link this morning to a video that had one of those subject lines "FW: Must Watch". I didn't think much of it, but when I clicked on it it was a facebook post of a video of Buzz addressing the team on the National Anthem.
Definately a good watch. The person who sent it to me wasn't a Hokie but was impressed. Makes me proud to be an American and a Hokie! Buzz seems to want to do things right.
