Basketball team training like Sam Rogers
I don't think Buzz will be satisfied until he has a roster of Rogers like superhumans.

Justin Bibbs doesn't make, then probably makes, US U19 men's basketball team.
Rising sophomore Justin Bibbs has been invited to take part in USA Basketball's U19 World Championships Training Camp. One of 24 players selected for the camp, Bibbs will have two weeks to earn a spot on the 12-man roster to defend our 2013 Gold Medal. At a minimum, this will give Bibbs some valuable court time against highly talented peers. Congratulations to Justin, and best of luck. #HokieNation will be pulling for you!

Check out this story on Hokie Basketball great Malcolm Delaney. He's won championships in all sorts of locations in Europe and seems to be a huge success

I'm sure there will be more detail about this from some of the guys here but Coach Bill Foster passed away tonight. Coach Foster was the head coach at Virginia Tech from 91-97 before retiring. He was coach during our NIT Championship in 1995.

It looks like a lot of folks might get what they asked for with a shortened shot clock. Additionally the committee said that reducing the physicality of the game was the most important topic of discussion. These are the points of emphasis for the upcoming season:
Apparently his high school coaches are saying that he just committed to VT, but his JUCO coach says no commitment has come yet.
But if it is true, huge pick up for Hokies. Kid can play.
In a little Virginia Tech media news today:

I was browsing r/collegebasketball on reddit yesterday and saw the Scout 2015 Final Bball Rankings and decided to take a look just to see where they had Chris Clarke ranked but was pleasantly surprised to see how high they have Justin Robinson ranked.
VT Commits:
Justin Robinson - #59 overall - #9 Point Guard- 4 star
Chris Clarke - #76 overall -#13 Small Forward - 4 star
Kerry Blackshear - #105 overall - #18 Power Forward - 4 star
Professional penis, and ESPN reporter, Darren Rovell, decided to do his usual yesterday in making the rounds of pot shotting unexpected people via Twitter, and it looks like he might have poked the wrong bear. First, let's explore how this started...
Va Tech took Nigel Munson over Steph Curry. He left VT after his freshman season, averaging 3 pts, 1 assist per game pic.twitter.com/97Mp8nReiC— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) May 4, 2015
Oh great, we get to play against him next year.

A little while ago, Johnny Hamilton signed his paperwork to come to VT. First announced by his coach:
Excited to announce Mighty Jaguar, Johnny Hamilton @johnny_tall has signed his NLI to Virginia Tech. @hokiesports @TeamCoachBuzz— Jody Bailey (@CoachJodyBailey) April 22, 2015
Edit: 7 foot JUCO post from Texas. Apologies for not originally including
Looking forward to attending this tonight. Another sign of improved athletic department and men's basketball program
Thank you for your patience as we worked out the details for a post season MBB student season ticket holder event. Please save the date of Tuesday, April 14 for an event at Hahn Hurst from 6 – 7:30 pm. The event will feature food, shooting contests, tours of Hahn Hurst, a group picture, Nike gear giveaways and more.
Many pundits had already crowned LOLUVa as the team to beat in 2015-2016... pending Anderson's return. Well, last night those Hoo dreams were spoiled when he declared for the NBA Draft leaving the Hoos program scrambling. Yes, they went 7-1 down the stretch after he got hurt, but they didn't exactly go through a gauntlet in conference play, and never looked like a team worthy of their ranking during it. Yes, they have a good, even great defense, but if VT football has taught us anything the last couple years its that you need to be able to score yourself in order to have success, regardless of defensive prowess, and UVa just lost their best, and arguably only offensive threat.
