According to espn stats on him, it looks like he played in 5 games, including 2 where he did not record a stat, but does have a QBR...not sure how that works...but I guess they burned his RS then?

Edit: never mind, looks like in those 2 games he had a total of 3 carries for 11 yards

It was super classy, in fact. He's on his way out, but has nothing but good stuff to say about VT, same for his mom, if you follow her on the tweeter machine.

Artis also still follows the VT coaches, RTed Marve, Jones & Hampton earlier today

Sometimes the portal isn't about a player wanting to get out of a bad situation, or because they are unhappy...it's just a business move. And sometimes it might be a result of one of those 'difficult conversations' with the head coach, if that is the case, very classy to not hold any grudges.

Seems to me that he is genuinely excited for the future of VT football, even if he isn't to be a part of it

It's still pretty wild considering the standard 5 years to play 4, + covid year, + this...they could potentially have guys on their roster who are still playing college ball at an age that many NFL careers are already over
