Frank was scheduled to do a in home before he had throat surgery that never came to fruition though

Do we know why?

This is troubling to me. During the final push for Sweat, I get that Frank couldn't visit because of his throat surgery. But to never visit the top recruit on your board is just mind boggling.

Do we know who Frank did in homes with this cycle? I know you said to check 247 but I couldn't find a page specific to Frank's recruiting. (Admittedly, I don't use that site much.)

Right, again, but, you still aren't engaging the actual argument that was taking place. You focused in on HokieBengal's avatar and ignored his actual argument that Frank's lack of in homes is hurting our recruiting efforts. It was just really tangential.

This in home visit issue is a concern, because it either indicates a lack of effort or a lack of ability to make in homes for some other reason. Either is concerning.

Well, yeah, but none of that is happening now. He's saying Frank doesn't do enough in homes during recruiting. There's actually some data to back that up, which he sourced. So talking about the wild rumors that flew during the season in response to a specific leveled criticism about recruiting is kind of a non sequitur.

I read that a few times in the game thread. I don't know nearly as much about hoops as I do about football.

Where were the lapses in fundamentals? I know we had a lot of turnovers, but to me it looked like WF was using their redonkulous size advantage for leverage to force us into some bad passes. Same with the rebound differential; you're gonna lose that battle when you're giving up a foot of height on the other guy going up for the ball.

From the most casual of basketball fans, what were the problems with fundamentals you saw against Wake?

Oops, let me clarify because I just realized it sounded like I was advocating a permanent switch. What I mean to say is, should Dadi or Ken go down, I think moving Marshall makes the most sense. It would probably help his draft stock, too, playing both positions.

I shall risk sounding the P5 elitest here.

If a kid is going to commit to ODU, chances are he's the level of player that's getting mid-major and FCS offers. Does it suck that Zohn might be gone right after they sign? Depends entirely on how Zohn handles it with his recruits. But it isn't like these kids could have gone to Alabama or Oregon if Burden left now. With or without Burden, ODU is still going to be one of the better , on the rise mid-majors in the country and the kids who commit there are also going to get a pretty good education. So if true, the move doesn't strike me as dishonest or sleazy. It means Zohn believes in the program and the school even if he's not going to be there.

Or to get indigestion over it. Thankfully it appears none of his targets are wavering in their verbal (knock on wood) but competing programs had all the time in the world to call up our recruits and say, "Hey, I noticed your guy's in Texas now..."

This isn't a knock on AMo. Business is business, and aTm isn't gonna do unto AMo as we are (hypothetically) doing unto Zohn. But if we're embracing the rumor, we've got a tale of two attitudes here: "Opportunity knocks, and I'm off and up out," vs "Getting the call from the bigs, but asking to get the last out in the bottom of the ninth for your AAA club." One sounds like a decidedly more Hokie mindset than the other.

We might fall up in this is all I'm saying.

I'm definitely not claiming #sources or anything, I've heard it mentioned a couple times on here, TSL and 247. It makes sense, but could be completely off the mark.
