She has moved around a bit since leaving here (UNLV, Missouri, and currently Arizona), but does Desireé Reed-Francois have what it takes for the rebuild if given the resources?
Well, the Stooges still make me laugh, so there's that.
As for Helen, I was an attendee at the Helen Keller Centennial Congress in Boston and I can assure you that you'll not find many more accomplished persons in this world than she was. She'd have done the coaching and Moe's a tough customer with a lot of experience in head slaps, Curly was big enough to open holes in the line. Larry, well, he'd have replaced the water boy, I guess. Slowly I turn...
His buyout falls every December. 4 years in it's a lousy excuse to hold on to someone. We're going to do it anyways but that's just another example of program mismanagement
Putting all hate for liberty to the side - that's not a situation any secular institution can emulated. It's just not.
Stretch but possible/out of the box
Those would all be home run hires that are unlikely. Leipold and Campbell have both turned down P2 offers. I would be ecstatic with Fritz. I'd put Sitake in your 'don't hate but probably lower tier' section - I'd take Wommack over Sitake easily.
I would also love Glenn Schuman, but I think it's completely unrealistic - I think a lot of those guys who are SEC lifers (Lanning, Kirby, etc) aren't leaving for a job unless it's heavily resourced (aka P2).
The Mike Vick hire is very Deion-esk. I truly don't know if it would/could work.
Cool! so it starts on my birthday!
we should sell out for cignetti. convince me otherwise.
Strongs defensive holding was a joke
Any coach or player that beats us is clearly the worst human in the world and should burn in hell. Double that if they're happy that they did it. /s
Peebles got a pass deflection for Ravens but unreal that Baltimore allowed Buffalo to score 16 points on 3 scores in the final 4 minutes. Strong had 2 tackles for the Bills.
He's already playing with house money and he's maxed out the Peter Principle at this point, and he's set for life. He doesn't need to work another day in his life provided his wife has a job that provides health care, lol.
True but we would've had a couple fun seasons and had a better foundation for the next guy. More national relevance
I mean really...what's a few thousand dollars in Student Loan Debt [that accrues daily] when you have a chance to land that 26 y/o Free Safety who's looking for his 4th school and sitting in the Transfer Portal (assuming the Judge rules in his favor in his Eligibility Lawsuit)??
College sports used to be fun....this isn't it.
Yeah on that note, are we all finally in agreement that just paying coaches more money doesn't make them better coaches? Because Whit blew a pile doing just that
Hear buyout is too high and falls Dec 1st, so an interim is unlikely.
But if we do it I say give Mines an opportunity. Young and up and comer. Clemson gave it to Dabo before and it worked. Worth a shot to give it to him.
(Think Montgomery was a shit coach tbh I wouldn't want them to give it to him)
He would also hurt his chances of another job by NOT taking the money. Quick way to get blacklisted if you set a precedent like leaving the money on the table.
Women tied William and Mary 3-3. Blew a 3-1 lead in final 20 minutes, giving up tying goal in 88th minute.
He is paid to take a risk that would potentially make him un-hireable. No school is hiring him to HC ever again. I am not sure some one would hire him to DC after seeing 3 seperate DCs walk into his position and do as well as he did. He isnt working out so he will use his risk dollars to mitigate the risk. At say $9 mil thats only 4-6 years of pay as a DC.
dunno. we can get away with a transient coach in basketball i.e. buzz. elko would have still left for aTm and we would have rioted on the streets like tinnerssee after kiffin
please stop. like you wouldn't turn down. severance pay.
Soaking every single student for 10 grand on their way through to play Sun Belt opposition is playing the game on easy mode.
No, I would not take the money. You might - and that's fine, I wouldn't blame you at all for doing that - but I would not.
Divine Deablo had 6 tackles, 1 TFL, a QB pressure and a pass deflection for Atlanta
On the one hand I get it. It's business and few businesses are as lucrative as getting paid not to coach. But on the other hand I'd feel pretty shitty if I was being paid but not doing the job. I know coaching doesn't work that way but this whole market has been broken for a long, long time.

Why are so many bro fans of several teams obsessed with Gruden being the next coach for their team. I've seen numerous posts for him to UF, VT and OKST. He would be in top 10 oldest college coaches, hasn't been around a college team on staff in how long?
