Not caring about being ranked is a mentality that teams who aren't normally ranked have. The 2005 VT fan base would have not agreed that being ranked doesn't matter.

Lost an all time great and a future great today. In regards to Palmer he advanced the game that I love into the modern era. And his name adorns one of my favorite drinks

I totally expected more growing pains on offense. Its so nice seeing the Hokie offense run like a well oiled machine after seemingly fixing all the early fumbles. The defense is a lot better than I expected Mook, Rell, and Adonis have matured so much from last season and can only get better from here on out. I love seeing big Tim Settle eating up interior lineman. I think 8-10 wins is a very realistic outcome for this team if we can continue at this level. Now its time to get rest and heal up on the bye week and get ready for a great test vs UNC.

Easy on the mediocore wisconsin talk. the badgers just whalloped michigan state and even if they are a tad overrated michigan state is not a bad team at all. That team is 4-0 and has one of the hardest schedules in the country. That being said the LSU game could have been a beat down had it not been for the now backup QBs pick 6 and interception in the endzone. Give us just a field goal in that endzone play and take away the pick 6 and 19-7 sounds pretty good. 23-7 sounds even better.

Hornibrook is for real, Clement is GOOD, and the defense reloads year after year. Wisconsin is good

I agree whole heartedly. I wish UT nothing but the best for the reasons you just mentioned. I just have not been impressed with them this far. I mean, are you confident they'll win out? Look at your games thus far:
App State- gamed by a lesser squad and you win on a lucky fumble recovery in OT.
VT- took advantage of short fields all night so there's that, but we gift wrapped that one for you, to our eternal shame.
Ohio- this should have been a blowout and instead you limp to victory
Florida- you played a stupendous half, but couldn't get amped for your biggest division rival.

In the end it's the W's that count and you guys are getting it done, but as far as proclaiming you guys playoff contenders, I'm not seeing a team that can make it through unscathed.

And I reiterate, I want nothing more at this point than to say our only loss at the end of the season was to the SEC champ.

He will be remembered not only for advancing the game of golf, but also for his contributions to the beverage world.

TV timeouts make the game slow....

It really doesn't take long to make a paper airplane -- I've made one in between changes in possession without a TV timeout. It was a shitty plane, but it was made. And I would love to see a video of a game where you can see a paper airplane flying around.

The wave meh, I won't do it but whatever, it only really annoys me when they do it during a play. But paper airplanes during football games, no f'ing way. I've crushed one s people try and make during the game.

So, Louisville is so much more of an attractive job then Tech... And that's why Petrino stays put but while we are left to ponder if our coach will be lured away in the near future? Sometimes money is not everything. Maybe Fuente is truly a different type of coach that wants a great place to raise his family, Blacksburg is certainly much better than Baton Rouge. I think Fuente will bring better recruiting classes sooner rather than later and we will be competing for the coastal very soon as well. There is no reason why he can't mirror what is happening in Clemson (I think an article pointed out VT and Clemson have similar athletic revenues.

The wave is for baseball or some other slow sport or at high school games. As for paper airplanes really because I'm pretty sure it takes more than a TV timeout to make one and launch it. It's annoying to people trying to actually watch the game. It looks like shit on TV to see paper airplanes flying around DURING A FOOTBALL GAME.

Miami, Pittsburg, & UNC are the teams I fear the most.

However, our defense is miles ahead better then UNCs and Pitt right now. I have a feeling we drop 40 on Pitt with a high powered offense. Miami is my biggest concern. They are more of a wild card for me. Not sure what to make of them as complete team.

Of course I hate GT. Playing them is never easy.

We Abe eclipsed 200 rushing yards a game except for against ECU where had 160 yards rushing.

The running game is deseptive in this offense because so many players run with the ball. It makes it really tough on the defense to stop them.

You aren't going to see a true RB gaining 100 yards a game I this offense. The run plays help setup everythijgnwe do in the pass game.
