Except this time the scoreboard will show 0 because we overflowed the variable that holds our score.
Honey badger just had a problem with weed, something that every major football program deals with.
Briles is a truly terrible human being. Not worth mentioning in the same sentence.
Glory Days.
Our basketball program (and really, all programs across the board) was going to suffer until there was a change at Athletic Director. You don't create a public mockery of a coach's termination and expect to have any success going forward. There is a coach's community where they actually do respect each other, and we violated trust throughout those ranks.
I think Greenberg is smart enough to know that Weaver was the architect of that, and VT is under new management.
Florida hired mcelwain from Colorado St. He started at 3.5 and is already at 4.25 after a year. And Hermans resume is on another level.
Ok, now THAT is hillarious.
Just a taste for those who might be hungry to take a bite of the link:
Your brain wanders into corn dog topics like: "Gee, I wonder if I took a bite of your finger, if you would taste just like a corn dog?"; or "Is this a real person or is it a giant corn dog trying to make me think it is a real person?" or "What did that giant corn dog just say?" or "Excuse me, Mister, why is it that you smell just exactly like corn dogs smell?" or, of course, after a silencer: "Madam, did you just let the corn dogs out?"

He's not wrong.
We looked wholly incompetent when he got canned, and it just proved we were an unorganized shitshow behind the scenes. You don't fire a coach while he was meeting with recruits and let him find out about it from ESPN. That was bush league to the max. Our administration deserved the horrid years in basketball that came after that.
I just hope Seth hasn't fully let that bridge burn between him and VT, because he truly was and still is loved by the fans. He made VT matter in a time when we should have been anything but relevant. We went toe to toe with the big boys and knocked them off way more times than we should. He made VT basketball fun again. And I hope he realizes that, from what I've experienced, the overwhelming majority of the fanbase is as pissed with those who were in the front office and implemented that firing as much as he is. I don't like to speak ill of the dead, but Jim Weaver fucked that one up.

VT vs. Wake ACCCG incoming.

USC is looking for a coach.
As happy as I am to see them show up on the radar, I really don't care about the rankings at this point in the season.
They won't really matter at all until VT faces UNC, Pitt, Miami, and now, the venerable Duke.
Also, I'm really hoping VT wins at Notre Dame, now that Duke has taken any real significance out of it.
How any new blue blood coaches came from G5 teams? How many G5 coaches are making as much money as Herman and are guaranteed as much money as Herman will be? I can't see LSU paying a G5 coach 4.6 million in his first year.
Auburn is not an attractive job. Really high expectations, your in the middle of no where Alabama, and you have to beat Saban to be eve considered a success.
Also, Petrino is a weasel. He has a superstar QB. Has a team built ready to win now. He's not leaving when he can accomplish everything he wants where he is. Last time he left he was in the sinking ship of the big east.
Never said Fuente is leaving. LSU is an attractive job that a top candidate would leave for. I could see Fuente staying forever, but who knows. Why did Chip kelly leave Oregon, he had everything he could wish for there.
Blacksburg is great, it's just not ever going to be the sexiest place to live for college football coach due to the winter conditions and being absolutely in the middle of no where.
I interpret Joe's tweet to be more along the lines of it we keep kicking ass, a ranking will take care of itself.
Great, the AD's office got their "revenge" while making the University look stupid (and yes, we did look stupid). I don't approve of how it was handled, but I'm happy with the current administration
You can see who votes for wich team? That sounds potentially dangerous, haha.
There is no greater sense of contentment than looking at how other schools transition their coaching staff, and then looking at how Virginia Tech handled Beamer's retirement and the transition to Fuente.
I really don't know how they could have done it better.
Greenberg alienated so many people at VT that no one in the AD's office was upset that he was done dirty.
The Greenberg firing was quite puzzling at the time, but VT has improved in terms of leadership in athletics post-Greenberg. Somehow, it got us to Buzz Williams, so progress was made.
Check my wording. I said the SEC champ. In my wildest dreams, we go into the bowl season 12-1 with our only loss being to UT and they run the table (at that point). Then we get a playoff invite and surprise the world by winning it all.

Beat a Cal team that was deemed good because they beat a Texas team that was deemed good because they beat a Notre Dame that was deemed good because they're Notre Dame. But actually Notre Dame is 1-3 and just lost to Duke. So what you're saying is Duke is top 20.
Arizona State was extremely close to losing to Texas San Antonio but because they beat Cal they are on the verge of top 25

Hahaha I felt the same way at the end of the game, when we had two opportunities to get above 60....I never mind putting ECU in their place
