Posting this when I should be going to bed?!

You bet your ass I read the whole thing! When I read the blurb about fanatical fans (a bit redundant) I thought, "I'd be a bit offended if it wasn't so #&%@ing true."

I don't understand how violence would have anything to do with the game losing its popularity? The violence and intensity is what draws many in to the game. I would guess removing kick offs and other things like that will result in more fans lost than keeping it. I think you are overly optimistic about the relevance of soccer in America in the future.

I managed to grab 3 rooms I no longer will be using (Sept 10 only). They're in Elizabethton at a 2* place, and they're definitely not as cheap as they should be:

Room 1: 4 adults, 2 double beds

Room 2: 4 adults, 2 doubles

Room 3: 4 adults, 2 doubles

They're not equally priced (an experiment to see if they'd sell quickly). Hopefully most of you have your plans lined up already; the website allows you to offer a different price, so you're welcome to throw a number out there and I'll try and make it work.

Dude, this is Awesome! Ford def. put on some muscle this offseason. Also a really cool graph on VT bowl streak and 16-1 record against UVA in last 17 years. It's such a dig and I'm positive it's meant for recruits to see.

I would like to, but no, I have not. However, when you see questions for the coaches about scheme asked by the TKP reporters, in most cases they have consulted me on the questions.

I am sure my terminology varies wildly from what the coaching staff uses, but I have it on good authority that, for the purposes of our enjoyment, we hit closer to the mark on the X's and O's than anyone else. None of this is game-plan level stuff. In the rare case that I knew the team had surprises in store, I will show discretion in my reviews (see my writing before the first Ohio State game- we wrote about 0 coverage, but didn't talk about the Bear even though Bud showed in the last scrimmage before the spring game.

I remember thinking about the conditioning a few years back. I thought about it because typically, VT players were the ones taking others out of the game. At some point, it seemed more VT players were getting injured than was normal. Not sure what changed, but it did.

In addition, how many games have we lost in the last 2 minutes. Games that we manhandled the whole time, just poof, imploded in the last quarter and gone in the last game.

The last few years, it seemed we were slow starters and stronger finishers. Not sure why that happened, but didn't work out either.

Have you ever sat down and chatted with any of the coaches? A real X and O talk? I recall you have asked questions at the Hokie Club events but wondering about more conversation with them. Do they know who you are and what you do here? Curious as to what they think....ever get any feedback from anyone inside the building?
As always....great stuff....keep it up and thank you.

My apologies on the title as I definitely don't want to induce any heart attacks. From the interview, Buzz sounded like a guy that is invested in building a sustainable program and working every day to #getBetter. I'm definitely glad he got an extension and hope he keeps growing deeper roots as each year passes.

I definitely agree on all of those fronts. My better half doesn't like basketball season because I fuss at the refs all the time for not wearing O & M glasses while officiating. I can get myself worked up for football games as well but those are limited to Saturdays.

Thank you! That's what I said...Dadi in the wrong gap/leverage hung Tremaine out to dry on the first Tulsa TD

VS UVA, Dadi didn't play 1st half, UVA had 6 pts., he played 2nd half & they scored 14

TCU was similar to Memphis, but not alike. While Fuente started using inverted veer with Andy Dalton, it wasn't a featured play. The Y and H backs were not utilized as much (he used a ton of 4 wide with one back, especially in the opener vs Oregon State) and he incorporated more true zone read stuff. Part of that came from Gary Patterson's influence (especially the I formation stuff.)

Here are the stone cold locks- you will see screens (which he uses as part of the run game.) The wide receivers and backs will block or he will find replacements. And the play structure will intertwine plays so it is incredibly difficult to defend.

Dude has a cannon and I wouldnt call him mediocore outside the pocket. I just think his pocket presence is really bad and his awareness. He had lots of turnovers that were due to essentially not feeling the rush coming. Thats a hard thing to teach some guys have just got it and others dont
