Literally yesterday, military training environment an O-5 sat down to talk with us and asked where we went to school/commissioning source. Upon telling him I went to Virginia Tech he responds in the middle of my sentence to tell me he is a wahoo and he already does not like me. Still talking I ended with my intro with "12-0 bro." There was a moment we both didn't speak staring at each other. So running into Hokies is great, destroying Wahoos any chance you get "priceless"

I was at work. I do recall Warley and Pace performing absolutely ABYSMAL at the Insight Bowl. Though I felt that Pace redeemed himself throughout the '04 season. Now I'm beginning to rethink my rankings...

There are no rules of driving in India. You can stop whenever and wherever. Others will navigate around you. They may curse you out, but it's your right to curse back at them, even if you are at fault. haha I know all this cause I have lived in India and been to Himalayas few times.

It's two more seasons we're talking about. From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that's what we'll end up with. Call it 73 for now.
My mom had Lady Vols season tickets for a few years when I was a kid so I grew up admiring Pat and her girls. So naturally I was interested to see how Tyler would do. I even kept tabs on Tyler when he played for the Tennessee men's team. He got the La Tech job and I read several articles about his work ethic and coaching philosophy and what it was like growing up with Pat Summitt as a mother and those got me even more interested in following his career. Then he messed it all up.
Well, it's quite easy, you see. You just offer a kid a scholarship and watch Twitter explode, and then when someone better comes along, you tell his position coach to call him and let him know that we needed to rework our numbers and we might have to gray shirt or blue shirt him. Or just make up a color of shirt and tell him we gotta do that to him. Hopefully he decommits because he didn't want to put off his entire academic and athletic career for a year and we don't have to talk to him again. It's a win-win for both sides, really.
To be fair, our introduction to Sam was a picture of him looking like he was about to eat some poor bastard half his size during a basketball game. Much of the celebration was likely motivated by straight-up fear over the wellbeing of everyone near him.

Yea, I'm not really going to feel good about UVa's plight until I see VT doing better in the recruiting department. I'm seriously hoping for some improvement both on the field and in recruiting.
It seems to me that VT is in far better shape, but I'm looking forward to seeing some tangible proof of that.

My greatest fear is that my parents get it. I don't know if I could deal with that.
Seems to be all the rage recently. I didn't know we had formed such a large colony to the south.
You don't stop on those roads. 1.5 lanes wide with traffic both ways always going 50mph whipping around mountain turns. The only safety consideration was both drivers slamming on their horns when taking a blind corner (which was every 30 seconds) so the oncoming traffic might hear them. I feared for my life so many times driving it eventually just became background noise.
I live not too far from there, and there's a big VT flag flying in my yard on game days.
Two houses down is another Hokie as well.
There are a few of us here in the Florida Panhandle, even if there are lots more Alabama, Auburn, and UofF flags flying.
I was in San Diego in the summer of 2014 walking to catch the train to the convention center and I hear someone from across the street say "Hey! Virginia Tech!" As usual I responded in kind with a Go Hokies! He replied with Wahoowa! As I walked off I yelled, "BOOOO! Get out of here with that @%#$!"
I, for one, want to see a press release where they openly complain about the quality of their recruits
After he sent out a bevy of offers, Coach Mendenhall addressed the media: "Well, we were hoping for some more talented players, but dangit all if they don't seem to want to play at a school that actually prioritizes football. I guess we'll just have to make do and hope that Tech has more growing pains than we do. Maybe we can convince a couple of these losers that it was an 'uncommitable offer.' I'll check with Butch Jones and see how those work."
