You are right on both counts!
First, yes, UNC should have been punished by now!
Second, yes, you are wrong! This tournament is about what the guys on the team have accomplished. As far as I've seen, there are no allegations that these players are guilty of the same transgressions as their predecessors. They've beaten just about everyone in their path, won the ACC regular season, ACC tournament, and have rolled through the all the competition that the NCAA tournament has thrown at them so far. In my opinion, they deserve to have the focus on their accomplishments and let the scandal resume next week.
There was a new story out of Raleigh, where they uncovered proof that a key component of the scandal (a limit of 12 hrs of independent study counting towards a degree) was in place well before 2006 (the time that the Wainstein Report was the start of this particular issue). The guesstimate was that an additional 142 athletes would have been ineligible, including several from their last BB NC team (incl Rashad McCants).
Besides, what other accomplishments or titles does he have? I mean, seriously, he's really only known for two things...being a VT QB and run ins with the law.

Not sure how this turned into a "hate on Andy Bitter thread", but in my estimation he has covered VT sports pretty well. I've had no issues with him. Even the Buzz thing didn't throw me off much as I'm not a reporter and therefore don't entirely understand the pressure he has (not to mention that we say stupid things from time to time).
At the end of the day, if there is going to be a thread hating on a writer from the Roanoke Times, it's needs to be about a man whose last name begins with a "B" and not named Andy Bitter...
I stopped reading AB's articles after that incident as well. I can't remember exactly but I remember something that suggested Buzz wouldn't last long if he pissed off the beat writers. That was it for me.

Yep, for better or worse, that's how people are going to associate Marcus in the media. Just the other day, Troy Smith was arrested for DUI, and the headlines read "Former Ohio State QB and Heisman winner." Unfortunate, but that's how the media will label it.
It's really sad the way the Mike has turned his life around compared to how Marcus continually tries to throw it away. I hope that one day he gets the help he needs and turns it around, but sadly I have my doubts.

Agreed. As a Nat's fan, there is only so much FP one can take (it's about 1 inning). The radio broadcast is much better.

Between Buzz Williams and Justin Fuente, we have two effort style coaches, and HokieNation has proved itself willing to back them up with just as much effort, and a little more insanity than our opponents. We gave more effort, and went up against them with a chip on our shoulder. Winning this was such a Hokie thing to do, and we did it with Hokie effort. From Lane Stadium vs Miami (pick your Thursday, and check the richter scale), to #GameDay4Frank, to bringing Lane into Cassell and shouting Princeton into paralysis in the NIT, to out voting SEC schools in a poll for best southern college town. HokieNation is a force to be reckoned with. So proud to be a part of this community. So proud to be a Hokie.
