With how successful the ACC has been in the tourney this year and what Buzz has stated his goals are, I honestly don't see why he'd want to leave VT. Turning the bottom feeder that we were into ACC Champs and annual NCAA competitors would be the pinnacle of coaching in college basketball

Pretty good, but in the next draft of this, just take out the two lines about Buzz leaving. Then it would be perfect.

You know where Buzz' ultimate destination is? VT. And I'll believe that until I see a video of him announcing otherwise.

I don't think we really need to add "until it's over" to every sentence about Buzz Williams, particularly since the two high profile outside jobs that people were talking about got filled.

I love Buzz, I'd like him to stay, and I think what he has done with the team is nothing short of miraculous. But he's not even the most accomplished basketball coach at VT, yet. Think about that for a second. VT has won the NIT - twice. They've been to the elite eight. It hasn't been consistent enough or recent enough, but the history is there. The potential is there.

So let's not beg Buzz to stay with every breath. Let's congratulate him for being a great coach, a terrific leader, and for embracing the ideal of being a Hokie. If he's really a Hokie, and I think he is, he's going to take this team to heights we're only dreaming of.

After going 4-0 yesterday, the ACC is guaranteed 2 final four teams and a participant in the Natty.

Just dominating this tournament. I had Notre Dame to the Elite Eight, they may have won my office bracket for me yesterday as I have a total of 6 out of the 8.

There was a post on TSL this week from a guy who regularly attends basketball practice. It may alleviate some of those one-foot-out-the-door perceptions about Buzz.

Blacksburg, ACC, Hill, recent taste of success: Are the reasons I'm hearing behind Buzz not entertaining any job offers. This year indeed created a lot of..buzz, in Blacksburg, a year or two ahead of schedule. Him wanting to build on that was a big if not the biggest reason. His family just getting comfortable in Blacksburg, they love it there. And I also heard one of his assistants mention that, when the day he announced he was leaving Marqutte, was on March 21st, Hill's Bday. Hill signed with buzz early at Marqutte and had that news hit him so late in the game during his senior year. Buzz just wasn't going to do that again to him around his bday, after following him to VT already. That played a big part. Also his asst coaches..Isaac Chew particularly, passed up some small D1 head coaching jobs last year, to stick with Buzz. All of these reasons kept buzz in Blacksburg from what I'm hearing. Expect him to be around for a while. Go Hokies.

Yeah, and I'm honestly ok with baseball being consistently decent with the occasional stellar year. Plus, getting a bunch of guys who go on to the pros to play at VT is no small task. We just aren't set up to be consistently good at baseball here. As has been mentioned before, the losing coupled with how we've been losing (tons of errors) is what makes me long for the Hughes days again. I just don't see us getting beyond decent at any point with this staff.

I don't see Hillsman leaving Syracuse. They were a four seed in the tournament this year and just stunned #1 seed South Carolina tonight to advance to the Elite Eight. Have to be a great sales job by Whit, even for his accolades so far.
