Hold breath - turn blue - lose consciousness - start breathing again

That's the norm, anyway. No promises.

Where's the ceiling, though?

My coin-flip bracket is sitting at 88%, had Oregon State over UNC in the championship, but the coin favored the favorites a lot (I think the "tails" side is heavier...that's how that works, isn't it?)

I could seem him wanting a change in scenery. The alma mater thing could be a big factor too. I think Dixon would end up regretting it though.

Ok so the guy that nobody has talking about so far this off season is Yosh. Last year he was one of the major talking points on TKP during prior to the season due to his freakish athleticism. However as soon as the season gets started he was barely mentioned even after he started getting playing time. Now with the season over I have barely heard his name. I mean I could be crazy but I feel like what he did last year was incredibly impressive. Hear me out.

The guy came in in the Fall as a DE. After getting a try he gets moved to the OL. Now at this point you would imagine that a guy who is roughly 30 lbs underweight and has never played his new position before would need at least a year to begin to get a grasp of the fundamentals enough to even be considered to possibly touch the field. However after working with the OL's for no more than a few months he was finding himself getting serious playing time on what was thought to be a set in stone OL group. Again I may be completely ignorant here but I thought was incredibly impressive.

So with all that said I'm wondering why nobody is talking about him now? I mean if he did that last year I'm just imagining where he could be at this Fall with an entire year of experience and after finally getting up to an appropriate weight.

So am I crazy, or could he really push for even more substantial playing time this year? Even further does he have the potential to be one of the better OL's that we have see at VT in the next year or two? I for one am voting yes. I think he might just be that next breakout guy that nobody is talking about.

He's been at Pitt a while though, and it seems that both sides may be growing tired of each other.

Seems like TCU is locked in on making it happen too, so we'll see.

I'm not scared of TCU at all. Oklahoma State is who I'm afraid of.

But then again Buzz is clearly an eccentric dude. No telling what he's thinking.

You could be right, but I just don't get the appeal of leaving a solid ACC program (like Pitt is and VT is becoming) for TCU basketball. I think they've won 1 NCAA tournament game since 1968? TCU has had absolutely nothing for years. Maybe I'm risk averse, but I'd stay away from TCU if at all possible.

I am holding my breath. Do you die immediately after you turn blue or does it take a while???

Just watching the game on DVR Sunday afternoon. Even knowing the outcome, with 6:30 to go, despite the foul trouble and back and forth, with 2pt lead and 3pters starting to hit target, I'm still thinking "we've got this". There was no giving up.

Dixon being a TCU alum makes me think that him going there might actually happen.

Ahhhh good old speculation and puckered sphincters.

Yes. Tech's teams, especially in the 90s, seemed to play with a quiet (sometimes not so quiet) rage. Somewhere along the way that was lost. We gotta get it back.

I like to think Buzz is not finished in Blacksburg. Unless another school doubled his salary there is no reason to leave now. Next year should see the best team he could ask for, and he would be a fool to walk away. Buzz is no fool.

I like how you titled this thread Joe. It'll make it easy to differentiate from Buzz Watch 2017 when we get to do this whole thing again next year.

It's interesting that Okie St. is considering Gregg Marshall. He would be at the top of my wishlist if we lost Buzz. The guy graduated from nearby Cave Spring HS and played for Randolph-Macon after all.

French, I'm curious...

I keep hearing talk at the DT position about every guy on the roster not named Sobczak. When I saw him in the spring and in limited action this past season, he is a guy that jumped out at me. He has a very quick first step. Why aren't we hearing about him?
