Yeah, good stuff from Will on this. Entire article is worth a read.
They are so similar I get them confused all the time too.

All I get from this is that I don't want to go to a James Shibest bbq.
I'm not saying I'm sure of anything one way or another, but better safe than sorry.
Please click the link. I know a lot of people give TSL shit, but they did a really good job with the interview. They posted the whole thing for free. The least we can do is give them the page view and read the full article.

Has there ever been an example of a quarterback strategically throwing a pick on a fourth down so the punter didn't have to kick?
Definitely found the uniform comments interesting. Been a lot of rumor and speculation floating around that what we will see may not be an overhaul, but simply more consistency with our colors and fonts, which his comments would seem to suggest. The stripes may still be on the uniforms since the previous staff had the primary input. I also think a lot of the older alumni and boosters really like the throwback look. Wouldn't doubt there are some special alternates planned for big games (Bristol), but I'm going to temper my expectations of a complete change in design.

It was brutal here in coastal SC, only got up to 53 today and it rained.
I still disagree with the rankings. We were down 3 starters when we lost to ISU. We beat them 32-3 when we faced them with a full starting line-up. If we wrestled NC State tomorrow I still think we would beat them again, maybe even by a bigger margin. It was not a fluke like football games are sometimes.
Edit: it's not that I think NCSU is bad I just think Tech is that good. I think we could beat anyone ranked above us right now except Penn State. A match up vs Iowa would be very close.

# | Danielle Bartelstein Stresses "Business as Usual" Start to Hokie Career, Despite Groundbreaking Role Agreed, he is a strange man, but knows how to run a very successful program. Anything she has picked up from that would be gladly welcomed in Blacksburg, IMHO.
Enough for horse to roll around in?

10-4. To be clear, I have no objection to the representation available to the accused. And I have come down against the rush to judgement on athletes many times. False accusations can ruin one's life.
But I will say that the only time in my public sector career that I had a judge rule against an action I had taken, was when I relied upon a system of rules and regulations to produce certain results. The judge said, there has to be more than just a system in place, in order to rely upon it as the basis for a decision, I had to show that in practice it actually works. He remanded it back to me to either demonstrate that it worked, or change the decision.
While it is apples and oranges (or perhaps grenades) in terms of subject matter, I think there is a similar question at UT. They clearly have a system in place to deal with the issues. But does it actually work? And if it doesn't, why?
There is a dusting in PA. I repeat, there is a DUSTING OF SNOW IN PA.
Carry on, nothing to see here.
I prefer "Josh Morgan's Firearm shoots him"
As a former (short lived, four semesters) Highty Tighty myself, I definitely didn't want to start an argument with one so named, and you obliged with considered discourse and handled my facetiousness with aplumb. I did, indeed, read all of the comments you all made and agree that it was an interesting conversation. The argument about certain gov't regulations could rage until we're playing football again, I have a bunch I think are really stupid, but this one has run its course, thanks to all who responded.
Which is why Silicon Valley is on right after GoT. It brings you back to a happy place.
It'll be like every one of us is manic depressive.
The key difference is waiting until 4th down instead of 2nd.
Good ole Whatsisname. I love that guy. Did we find him in sporting goods or the automotive section this time?
What is remarkable about Whit Babcock is the degree to which he just gets it. He is like the culmination of all of the rational fan bases opinion combined into one person. He's traditional without being stale. Progressive without burning through cash. Everything about VT right now just shines.
Fuente's offense doesn't need a punter!
I think it's a coach's poll, so much like the football polls, it's subject to human biases. My guess is that NC State lost only once, and VT lost twice, so voters are giving them the benefit of the doubt. They've beaten several very good teams this year, and they also competed in a heck of a lot more duals than we did.

I'm 23 and I love the traditional looks/jersey. The last thing I want is to see adidas vomit out something O&M for the sake of being "modern" (and yes I know we're still Nike, thank God).
